RESOLUTION NO. 12 0 8
WHEREAS, the long term vitality and character of the Village of Plainfield is rooted in
its historic downtown; and,
WHEREAS, the Village hired TENG and Associates of Chicago to develop a land use
and streetscape plan, and,
WHEREAS, the Village's Plan Commission held public hearings on the Downtown Land
Use and Streetscape Plan dated August 7, 2000, and recommended approval, and,
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Village to incorporate the August 7, 2000
Downtown Land Use and Streetscape Plan into its updated Comprehensive Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Boazd of Trustees express
their policy to adopt the Downtown Land Use and Streetscape Plan and use it to
determine the zoning and building requests originating within the plan area effective
immediately.
