WHEREAS, Plainfield School District #202 has requested a reexamination of Village
policy regarding sewer tap-on fees for schools; and,
WHEREAS, research demonstrates that the IEPA suggested standard is inaccurate when
compared to actual usage by Plainfield Schools; and,
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed with the District Board at a Special Meeting of
the two Boards on August 31, 2000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Board of Trustees
that the sewer tap~n fee now due from the Plainfield Schoal District #202 for Heritage
Grove and the Freshman Center is $31,139.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Ordinances shall be amended to
provide that future sewer tap on fees shall be calculated at the rate of 3 population
equivalents per 100 students/employees for schools in the Village of Plainfield.
