The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indi ana, met
in regular session in the office of said Board Monday, September
26th , 192-1-, at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being
present Messrs . von Pein, Price -and Peitz the following proceed-
ings were had- to-wit: -
The Board accepted the proposition of the Safety & Traffic Guide
Co. , Elkhart , . Indi an_a, for a try -out of one of their traffic guiaes.
The Board- -received a petition signed by the Richmond City School
Board, by Chas . W. Jordan, Pres. , petitioning for the passage of a
resolution providing for a cement sidewalk 92' ft wide ; also curb &
gutter l' ft wide , running. from the_Peacock Road south 330' ft on the
west side of North-west 7th Street infront of the School property.
Referred to the City Engineer for plans,
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution #607-1921 pro-
viding for the improvement of the west side of North-west 7th St . ;
by constructing a cement curb & gutter left wide, and cement side-
walk 9z' ft wide , from the Peacock Road south to a point 330' ft, and
the Clerk-was instructed to advertise for 15ids.
The Board-met to hear all persons interested or whose property is
affected by the vacation of all that portion of Garden Avenue lying
west of the C . & 0. Railroad, and east of South 5th Street under
Declaratory Resolution #153-1921. No one appearing and no remon-
strance having been filed the .Board took Final Action on said reso-
lution, the sane being confi rrned without modification, and the Board
ordered that a roll be prepared of all owners or holders of property
and all valuable interest therein sought to-be taken or to be injuri
ously affected, which list or roll shall also describe the property
beneficially affected, and the Board fixed a price to be assessed as
benefits at $1.50 per linear foot front on 5th Street.
The Board approved the Primary Assessment Roil of Benefits & Damages
in the matter of the vacation of 8' ft off the east side of S. 16th
St. from South "E" St. to the south terminal of said street , which
point is the south line of Tract No. 557 Official Map, under Decla-
- ratory Resolution. 2:152-1921, and fixed Monday, October 10th, 1921 ,
as the day of hearing .against said assessm€at .
The Board received bids for air ducts to 5000 K.W. Generator , M. E.
L. & P.P. as follows :
Thos. Turner & Son bid:
To furnish air ducts for turbine & generator as per drawings &
specifications complete and installed --- 1,270.00

Mr. Peltz moved that the bid of Thomas Turner & Son be accepted, and
the contract so awarded. Seconded by Mr. Price so ordered.
The Board received bids for the painting of the Doran and N. 10th St
Bridges as follows: -

Mr. Peitz moved' that the bid of 011ie Mains be accepted and the
contract so awarded. Seconded by Mr. Price so ordered.

Lighting & Power Plant as follows:
