The Board of Public Works of the .City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the office of said Board Thursday, Sept. 1, 1921 , at 9 A.1I. Two of the members of the said Board being present Messrs. von Pein L Peitz , absent Mr. Taylor, the follow- ing proceedings were had .to--wit : • - iiThe School Board appeared before the Board in regard to the grad.- irig of West 7th Street. from Peacock Road to Pearl Street. The ' Board advised the School Board to circulate a petition for saidI/ improvement, and proceed in the regular way. The City. Engineer reported the completion of the contract under Improvement Resolution #575-1920 for the improvement of North "A" St. from North 2nd to North 3rd St. , and North 2nd Et. from North "A" St. north on North 2nd St . to a point where the C. & 0. R.R. track crosses North 2nd St. , the Board accepted same and ordered an assessment roll prepared. The Board directed the Finance Dept. to pay the following contract- or the 5% reserve retained on the following improvements as follows: Daniel G. Burkhardt , Contractor. Resolution No. 574 - 1920 amount 0 61.80 :t • 1► 577 - 1920 11 52.35 tt " 579 - 1920 ?I - - 29.88 it " 580 - 1920 1' 146.24 The Board received a report of the inspection of the boiler of the heating plant in the City Bldg. from the Travelers Indemnity Co. stating that said boiler is in good condition, which was or- dered placed on file. • The Board met to receive bids for the privilege of advertising on the backs of the City Light Plant meter reading slips and consum- er' s bills. The following bid was received: The Dickinson Trust Company; bid. . _ For the privilege of advertising on the backs o.f the City Light Plant' s meter reading slips and customers' bills we will . bid 0130.00 for the year beginning' Nov. 1, 1921 and ending Octob- er 31, 1922 , or we will agree:.to furnish complete the meter read- ing slips and customers' bills for the quarter beginning Nov. 1, 1922 and ending January 31, 1922. On motion of Mr. Peitz seconded by Mr. von Fein the Board accept- ed the second proposition of the Dickinson Trust Co. as set out above, and awarded them the contract.
