The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the office of said Board Thursday , August 25th, 1921, at 9 A.M. All the members of the sari d Board being present Messrs. von Pein, Taylor , and Feltz the following pro- ceedings were had to-wit :- The Board approved the petition of the Atlas Underware Co. to I/ lay under private contract a 7' ft cement walkway, subject to the aptroval of the City Engineer, infront of real estate z=304 to 306 Elizabeth Starr' s Add. on Elm Place between forth 10th & llth Streets, said company agreeing that when said street is paved that they will remove said walk. Residence on Richmond Avenue represented by a committee of women made a complaint to the Board in regard to the City allowing gar- bage & trash to be dumped and burned on the 17estside Dump. The Board informed the Committee that they would look into this mat- ter and tare some actlor_.. The Board received a ret:i tion sined by Wm. Schueler for the passage of resOltt1 On providing for thb vabLt'ioh of Garden Ave. from a point where the C. & 0. .M.it. crosses Garden Ave. to the r_ � east side ofSouth c r,11h Stya_. The petition was referred to the City Enryineer for plans. The Board received a pets Lion si e ed by Fred Hackman and three others, fur the passage of a resolution providing for the vaca- tion of 8DfL off the east side of South 16tl Street from South - "B" St. to the south terminal of said street. Referred to the - City Engineer for plans. The Board unanimously ,adopted Declaratory Resolution. #152-1921 to vacate 8' ft off the east side of South 16th. Street from South "E" Street to the south terminal of said street, Which point is the south line of Tract #557 Official Map Gf the City of Richmond. The Beard received bids for the construction of a ce%E :t CcwRalk 5' ft ride on the south side of South 'P" Street from South 8th to South 9th Street under Improvement Resolution #j-605-1921 as fol- lows to-wit : - ' Z . B. Pyle Co. bid: Cement walk ( 5' ft vide ) complete per sq. ft. Daniel G. Burkhardt bid: Cement walk (5' ft wide) complete per sq. ft. ji0.21 c' Wm. Two of the members of the said Board being present Messrs von Pein and Feltz, absent fir. Taylor, the following proceedings were had to-wi t : - The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution #153--1921 for the vacation of all that portion of Garden Avenue lying west of the C . 80 0. R.R. and east of South 5th Street. - The Board approved 6:nd signed the contract & bond of Daniel G. Burkhardt , contractor under ImTrovementi Re,soluti on #605-1921. The Board approved the peti ti on ofJohn W. CoCoulter �-for permission - to lay under private contract a cement driveway infront of -124_ State Street , subject to the 11ifte( t 1 & approval of the City 1tiJ L rg. The Board recei ved a comcriunicatii on from B. M. Campfield in regard to the condition or boui "rth Street , which was referred to the Eng- ineering Dept . • - A report was filed vi t'-! the Clerk Of the sale of certain buildings ' belonging to the City on North 3rd St. to Garfield Dixon for the sum of c11400.00. - The speci f i cati oils for the piping to be done i it connection with the new turbine installation for the Municipal Blectri c Lighting and Power Plant as prepared by J. D.
