Contractors under Improvement Resolution #603-1921.
The Board received a communication from Mrs. J. H. Mills in re-
gard to the unsightlyness of Park Place, and asking that the
Board take some action. The Board instructed the Clerk to notify
John Foulke to have the lumber and trash removed from Fark Place
infront of his property by the 6th of August, 1921, or the City •
will take legal action.
The Board gave Mr. Slocum, Head of the Community Service, per-
mission
to take up the Service work in the North 10th St . Park.
The Clerk was instructed to notify A. L. & Robert Study to have
the dead trees removed from infront of their property on the
NE. Cor. of North 9th & "A" Streets within 10 days from this date
or legal action will be taken.
The Board approved the plan showing the West Side Boulevard from
National Road to South "G" and SW. 1st from National Road to SW. •
"E", and other adjacent streets as shown on said plat.
The. Board then adjourned.

The Board of ±ublic Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
regular session inthe office-of said Board Thursday, August 4th,
1921 , at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board" being present
Messrs. von .Pein, Taylor,. and Peitz the following proceedings were
had to-wit : -
The Board met to hear remonstrances if any of persons primarily
- assessed on account of the construction of a Sanitary sewer in the.
-alley between Ridge & Boyer Streets from School to Stevens Street
under Improvement Resolution #596-1921. No one appearing or re-
monstrating the Board approved the Final Assessment Roll u,onfirm-
ing in all things the original assessment roll as heretofore ap
proved and now direct the dame to be transmitted forthwith to the
- Dept . of Finance.
The Board received a notice from the Secretary of the Public Ser-
vice Commission of IndiLna, stating that the hearing on the peti-
tion of the Liberty Light & Power Co. for inter-connection of

Transmission Lines will be held Friday , August 12th , 1921, at
10 :00 o' clock A.M.
The Board anpro ved and signed a contractor' s certificate in favor
of Sheets & Canfield for 85%0 of contract price , based- upon the
estimate of the City Engineer of the contract under Improvement
Resolution #590-19E1 for the improvement of South 7th St. by con-
structing a relief sewer.
The Clerk presented the complaints from Council of Mon. Aug. 1st.
. The Board received the follow ng communication:

Gentlemen :
Referring to the matter of coal contract , the writer wculd
recommend that in all fairness to the coal bidders we run a test
on four cars from each one of the bidders.
Assuming Mat this rroposition will meet with your aprro ' a1
the writer has already taken it upon himself to start shipment of
these test cars from the different bidders, and hopes that some-
time Ti thin the neat two weeks to give you sufficient information
to intelligently place contracts for our coal requ ire -,ents.

Mr. Pelts moved that the recommendation of J. P . Dillon' s , Gen.
Mgr. of the Licht Plant be concurred in. Seconded by Mr. Taylor
motion prevailed.
The Board received bids for cement roadway in the alley between
South llth & 12th Streets from South "D" to South "En Street, un-
der Improvement Resolution `+604-1921 as follows to-wit : -

Mr. Pelts moved, that as the Z. B. Pyle Co' s. bid was the lowest ,
and within the City Enr:ineer' s esti , :ate , that it be accepted, and
t?,.e contract so awarded. Seconded by Mr. Te, ,'lor so ordered.
The Board then adjourned.
