B. corner and from the S. W. corner diagon- ally to the main walk, and to prohibit baseball and horseshoe playing and bicycle- riding in the park. Bills to the amount of 110 , 972.69were allowed. • The Board approved the various payrolls up to July 16 , 1921 . . The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in _ regular session in the office of said Board Monday, July 25th, 1921 at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present Messrs. . von Pein, Taylor, �.nd Peitz the following proceedings were had to- wit : • _ The Board received a communication from Chas. S. Anderson of Lafay- ette , Indiana, Route F, asking for permission to hold the Alderson Reunion in Glen Miller Park on Sunday, August 28th, 1921. The Board referred same tb the Park Supt. with instruction to grant them per- mission providing it does :not interfere with any other arrangements he might have made. - The Board instructed the Clerk to notify F. R. Slick, Garbage Con- tractor, to put on an extra garbage wagon by July 27th or the City will put on one and charge it up. to him. The Board received bids for the construction of a cement roadway •in the 1st alley east of South 8th Street running north & south from S. "h4B to South t?J" Street under Improvement Resolution #603-1921 as follows: - Daniel G. Burkhardt bid: Cement roadway complete per Square Foot .272 . J. Z. Teegarden bid: Cement roadway complete per square foot 0.262s}' Z. B. Pyle Co. bid: Cement roadway complete per square foot 38 Monday, July 25th , 1921. The Board took the above bids under advisement until Thursday, July 28th, 1921, at 9 A.M. The Board then adjourned. 4/7/24 . The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the office of said Board Thursday, July 28, 1921, at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present Messrs. von Pein, Taylor, and Pelts the following proceedings were had t o-wi_t : Tne City Civil Engineer reported the completion of a contract un- der improvement Resolution #592-1921 for the improvement of the - 1st alley north of Chestnut Street from NW. 1st to NW. 2nd Street, the Board accepted same and ordered an assessment roll prepared. - The Board took up the bids submitted Monday, July 25th, 1921, un- der Improvement Resolution #603-1921 providing for the improvement of the 1st alley east of South 8ta Street from South "HTT to South - ,TJ" Street, and Mr. Pelts moved that the bid of Z. B. Pyle Co. be accepted. and the contract so awarded. Seconded by Mr. Taylor. motion prevailed. - The Board received bids for coal for the Municipal Electric Light- ing & Power Plant as follows to-wit: - Klehfoth-Niewoehner Company bid: 9000 to 25,000 tons of Hazard i4 nut & slack coal at 2.25 per ton f. o.b. mines. Smith-Osborn Coal Sales Company bid: 9000 tons more or less 2" nut & slack coal originating in I/ the state of Kentucky and known as Seams Harlan ---- 2.75 per ton f.o.b. mines. 100 tons more or less Smokeless Run of Mine coal, W. Va. 4.00 per ton f. o. b. mines. 9000 tons of 2" nut & slack originating in W.Va. known as #2 �,, n Gas SeaIIl '� �JsilO per ton f.o.b. mines.
