The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indians.
met in regular session in the office of said Board Monday,
July 18 , 1921 at 9 A. M. All the members of the said Board
being present, Messrs. Von Pein, Taylor and Peitz ; the fol-
lowing proceedings were had to-wit : -
I/ The Board approved the petition of Chas. E. Hazen for perms-
sion to lay, under private contract , cement from sidewalk to
his building on both Main and West 5th Streets, subject to the
inspection and approval of the City Engineer.
The Board met to hear all persons interested in or whose prop-
erty is affected by the construction of a cement roadway in
the alley between south llth and. 12th Streets from South D
to South E Street. . After hearing all persons. who appeared and
a remonstrance having been filed, signed by Herman Hawekotte
and seven others and a letter from Florence Muller Wehrheim
remonstrating against the improvement the Board referred the
remonstrance to the City Engineer to check up and report to
Board at the next meeting July 21, 1921.
The Beard met to hear remonstrances , if any, of persona primar-
illy assessed on account of the Improvement of the alley between
Lincoln and Randolph Street by constructing a cement roadway in
said alley the full width thereof from West First to Second ,
under Improvement Resolution No. 597-1921. No one appearing or
remonstrating the Board approved the Final Assessment Roll as
heretofore approved and. directed the same to be transmitted
forthwith to the department of finance.
Board approved the primary assessment Roll in the matter of
Improvement Resolution No . 569-1919 for the improvement of South
Fourth and Ft. Wayne Avenue from South A Street to North D
Street.
The Board then adjourned.
