The Clerk presented the complaints from Council of Tuesday, July 5th, 1921. Bills to the amount of 0 11,261.56 were allowed. The Board approved the various pay rolls up to July 1st , 1921. July 11, 1921. The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the office of said Board Monday, July 11, 1921 , at 9 A.M. All the members of the saiffid,Board being present Messrs. von Pein, Taylor, and Peitz the following proceedings were had to- wit :- The Board approved the Primary Assessment Roll in the matter of Im- provement Resolution #591-1921 for the co struction of a cement road- way in'the alley between West Kinsey & Wesa -Pearl. Street from West 7s1 to West 3rd Street. The Engineer reported on the remonstrance filed against Improvement Resolution #602-1921 for the improvement of ,the alley between South 17th & 18th Streets by constructing a cement roadway in said alley the full width thereof from South "A" Street nor.:th to north terminal of alley thence east to Smith 18th Street, that there are 30 resideni property owners of which number 16 remohstrated. Mr. Pella" moved`th€ all previous action on said resolution be recinded. Seconded by Mr. Taylor motion prevailed. The Board met to hear all persons interested in or whose property is affected by the construction of a cement roadway in the 1st alley east of South 8th St. running north & south from South "H" to South "J" Street under Imrprovement Resolution #603-1921. After hearing al persons who appeared and no remonstrance having been filed the Board decided that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the cost of same as reported by the City Engineer, and thereupon took final action on said resolution; the same being confirmed without modification, and the Clerk was in- f34 Monday, July. 11th, 1921. structed to advertise for bids. M. Two of the members of the said Board being present. Messrs. Von Pein and Taylor and Mr. Pelts absent. The following proceedings were had to-wit: The City Engineer reported the completion of the contract under Imp. Resolution No . 569-19,19 for the improvement of South 4th street and. Ft. Wayne Ave. •from South A street to North D street . The Board accepted said report and ordered an assessment roll prepared. The Board approved and signed a contractor ' s certificate in favor of J. L. Teegarden for 85% of contract price based upon the estimate of the City Engineer of the contract under Imp. Resolution No. 569-1919 for the improvement of South 4th street and Ft.
