The Board instructed the Clerk to advertise for bids for coal for the Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plait according to the specifications furnished by Mr. Dillon, Gen. Mgr. of the plant. - Mr. Peitz moved that as Monday`, July 4th, is' a National Holiday that the Board adjourn to meet Thursday, July 7th. Seconded by Mr. Taylor motion prevailed. The Board of Public Works of the City of Rickond, Indiana, met in regular session in the office of said Board Thursday, July 7, - 1921, at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present Messrs. von Pei , Taylor, and Peitz the following proceedings were had to-wit :- - The Board met to hear all persons interested in or whose proper' is affected by the construction of a -cement roadway in the alley between South 17th & 18th Streets from South "A" St. north to N. Terminal of alley; thence east to S. 18th Street under Improve- ment Resolution #602-1921. After hearing all persons who appear- ed, and a written remonstrance having been filed signed by Chas. E. Kook and 17 others the Board referred the remonstrance to the Engineer to check up and report on at next meeting. The City Engineer reported the completion of" the contract under Improvement Resolution #591-1921 for the improvement of the al- ley between West Kinsey & West Pearl Streets by constructing a - cement roadway in said alley the full width thereof, from West let to West 3rd St. The Board accepted same and' ordered an assessmentI/ roll prepared. The Board approved the.Primary Assessment Roll in the matter of Improvement Resolution #596-1921 for the construction of a Sani- tary Sewer in the alley between Ridge & Boyer Sts. from School to Stetens Street. The Board unanimously adopted a resolution to improve the Doran Thursday, July 7, 1921. . 133'' . Bridge, and trorth 10th .Street Bridge, by cleaning & painting said bridges all according to the specifications, and the Clerk was in- structed to advertise for bids. The Clerk presented the complaints from Council of Tuesday, July 5th, 1921. Bills to the amount of 11,261.56 were allowed. The Board approved the various pay rolls up to July 1st, 1921. The Board met to hear all persons interested in or whose property is affected by the construction of a cement roadway in the 1st alley east of South 8th St. running north & south from South "H" to South "J" Street under Imrprovement Resolution #603-1921. After hearing al persons who appeared and no remonstrance having been filed the Board decided that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the cost of same as reported by the City Engineer, and thereupon took final action on said resolution; the same being confirmed without modification, and the Clerk was in-
