COUNCIL MEETING
A Regular Meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret was called to order by Mayor Daniel J. Reiman at 6:00
P.M., Thursday December 28, 2017, Council Chambers, Memorial
Municipal Building, 61 Cooke Avenue, Carteret, New Jersey.
Upon Individual Roll Call the following were noted present: ROLL CALL
Councilmember Vincent Bellino
It Jorge Diaz
Dennis DiMascio
Ajmar Johal
Randy Krum
Also noted present was Kathleen M. Barney, Municipal Clerk and
Michael T. Sica, Esq., Assistant Municipal Attorney.
Noted absent was Councilmember Susan Naples and Law Director,
Robert J. Bergen, Esq.
The meeting was opened with a moment of silent prayer and the PRAYER, PLEDGE OF
Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilmember Randy Krum. ALLEGIANCE
The Clerk stated that on January 6, 2017, the 2017 Annual Notice STATEMENT OF MEETING
was mailed to The Home News Tribune, The Star Ledger and posted NOTICE
on the Bulletin Board January 6, 2017. Notice was published in The
Home News Tribune and The Star Ledger on January 11, 2017.

OPEN TO PUBLIC
Upon MMS &C, by Councilmembers Diaz and Krum and
unanimous affirmative vote of Councilmembers Bellino, Diaz,
DiMascio, Johal and Krum, the Minutes of December 7, 2017 were
approved as transcribed and engrossed by the Clerk.
The clerk stated that Ordinance #17 -17 was introduced and
adopted on First Reading on September 21, 2017. It was duly
published in The Home News Tribune on December 14, 2017 with
notice that it will be considered for final passage after Public
Hearing to be held on December 28, 2017 at approximately 6:00
p.m. The Ordinance was posted on the bulletin board and copies
were made available to the general public and according to law,
she read the Ordinance by title.
Mayor Reiman stated that this Public Hearing is for the right of
way acquisition for the sign placement in West Carteret.
Upon MMS &C, by Councilmember Diaz and Bellino and
Unanimous affirmative vote of the Councilmembers present,
Mayor Reiman declared the Public Hearing open.
HEARING CLOSED There being no comments or objections to the Ordinance, Mayor
Reiman declared the Public Hearing to be closed, Upon MMS &C,
by Councilmembers Diaz and Bellino and Unanimous Affirmative
vote of the five (5) Councilmembers present.
