ABC BOARD MEETING
A meeting of the ABC Board of the Borough of Carteret was called MEETING CALLED TO
to order by Mayor Daniel J. Reiman, on Monday June 26, 2017, ORDER
10:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers, Memorial Municipal Building,
61 Cooke Avenue, Carteret, New Jersey.
Upon Individual Roll Call Vote the following were noted present:
Mayor Daniel J. Reiman
Commissioner James A. Failace
Frank James Jr.
Also noted present was Kathleen M. Barney, Municipal Clerk and
Robert J. Bergen, Law Director.
The meeting was opened with a moment of silent prayer and the
Pledge of Allegiance led by Mayor Daniel J. Reiman.
The Notice of today's meeting was sent to The Home News Tribune
and posted on The Bulletin Board on June 15, 2017. Notice was
published in The Home News Tribune on June 21, 2017
The purpose of the meeting was to Approve Liquor License
Renewals and any other business that may come before the
Board.

AINUTES FOR APPROVAL Upon MMS &C by Commissioner Failace and Commissioner James
and unanimous affirmative vote of the three (3) members
present, the Minutes for December 27, 2016 were approved as
transcribed and engrossed by the Clerk.
Upon MMS &C by Commissioner James and Failace and
unanimous affirmative vote of the three (3) members present, the
'UBLIC PORTIONS Meeting was Open to the Public
)PEN TO THE PUBLIC
There were no comments from the Public.
Upon MMS &C by Commissioner James and Failace and
unanimous affirmative vote of the three (3) members present, the
:LOSED TO THE PUBLIC Meeting was Closed to the Public.
Mayor Reiman asked Law Director Robert J. Bergen to
VIAYOR REIMAN read /explain the Resolutions.
RESOLUTIONS:
ZESOLUTIONS 1. #1 -17 Authorizing Liquor License Renewals for the 2017-
2018 License Term
2. #2 -17 Approving the Transfer of Liquor License #1201 -33-
018 -002 from Carteret Dining, LLC to Carteret Executive
Caterer, LLC.
3. #3 -17 Rescinding and Approving the Renewal of Liquor
License #1201 -33- 029 -010 for the 2016 -2017 and 2017 -2018
License Terms Pursuant to a Special Ruling
VIAYOR REIMAN Mayor Reiman asked Municipal Clerk Kathleen M. Barney, who is
missing on the list of Renewals.
30ARD CLERK Kathleen M. Barney said we are missing Kelly's Pub and the
special rulings, Jason Kaplan's two (2), Padum Patel and 800 Blair.

Mayor Reiman asked if they are Special Rulings that are coming?
Kathleen M. Barney: yes.
Mayor Reiman asked when when we anticipate to have those, for
the next?
Kathleen M. Barney said she didn't know, that is why we are going
to need another meeting anyway.
Mayor Reiman noted that those other four (4) are all inactive
though, right? 800 Blair, Kaplan's two (2) and Patel.
Kathleen M. Barney said they all applied for Special Rulings but we
didn't get them back yet.
Mayor Reiman asked if there were any questions. There were
none.

Was Adopted. Upon Individual Roll Call Vote Mayor Reiman,
Commissioner Failace, and Commissioner James voted in the
Affirmative.
Mayor Reiman Abstained as a Member of the Craftman's Club
which is Club License #1201 -31- 065 -001.
Mayor Reiman stated that there haven't been any underage sales.
He asked if any reviews have been done.
Kathleen M. Barney stated she hasn't received anything from
them.
Mayor Reiman said he will have the Chief prepare a report for the
Board Members here so they can take a look at it. Every now and
then we have a Police Officer under the age of 21 and we will
generally go in and take a look at ABC buys and sometimes they
sell and sometimes they don't, especially summertime. We don't
want these guys turning a blind eye and selling to kids. We got
Graduation parties and summer parties. We want to make sure
we are keeping an eye on that.
There being no further questions or comments, Upon MMS &C
Commissioners James and Failace and unanimous affirmative vote
of the three (3) members present, the meeting was Adjourned at
approximately 10:07 a.m.
