The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the cffice of said Board Thursday, May 5th,1921, at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board bd ng present Messrs. von Fein, Taylor, and Feltz the following proceedings were had to- wit :- The Board approved and signed the Contract and Bond of Daniel C. Burkhardt, Contractor under Improvement Resolution #591 -- 1921. The Clerk presented the. complaints from the Common Council Monday, May 2nd, 1921, and the Board instructed the .City Engineer to have signs .placed, prohibiting parking of vehicles on North "A" St . from • North 5th to 7th Street. • • - The Board received a petition signed by Louis B. Feltman, and two others , for the passage of a resolution providing for cemert road- way in the 1st alley south of the National Road from Louth-vest 2nd to South-went 3rd Street. The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resoluti on #601-1921 to improve the alley 1st south of the National Road by constructing a cement roadway the .full width of alley from South-west 2nd :street - to South-west 3rd Street. • The Board meets to hear all personsinterested/or whose property is affected by Improvement Resolution ,i1596 - 1921 to construct a Sani- tary Sewer in the alley between Ridge & Boyer Street from School to Stevens Street . No one appearing but a remonstrance having been filed signed by John A. Shook and 7 others , and the Board being ful ly advised in the matter over ruled same , an decided that the bene fits to property liable to he assessed for said sewer are equal to the estimated cost of the same as reported by the City Civil Eng- ineer; and thereupon took final action on said resolution, the same being confirmed without modification. Atty. Ray K. Shiveley filed With the Board a petition of Swayne - Robinson & Company for permission to double track C . & 0, R. R. Co. switch across North "A" Street between 2nd & 3rd Streets. The Board instructed Mr. Shiveley to present a tentative draft of a contract Swayne - Robinson & Co. wishes to, enter into with the City . Bills to the amount of 21 ,533.14 were allowed. The Board approved the various ray rolls up to May 1st , 1921. The Board then ad,ourned. • Pres. of the Board. Attest : • Clerk of the Board.
