The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the office _of said Board Thursday, April 21, 1921, at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being pre- sent Messrs. von Pein, Taylor, and Peltz, the following proceed- ings were had to-wit: - The Board approved the petition of Frank Threewit for permission to cut the curb for a 12' ft driveway infront of real estate #703 & 705 South 9th Street subject tothe inspection and approval of the City Engineer. The Board approved the petition of Maude B. Peck for permission to cut the curb for a driveway infront of realestate #527 North 21st Street subject to the inspection and approval of the City Engineer. The Board approved the petition of Frank S. Sch eibler for per- mission to cut the curb for a 12'ft driveway infront of real estate #446 South 6th Street subject to the inspection and ap- proval of the City Engineer. • The Clerk presented the complaints from Council of Monday , April 18th, which were referred to the City Engineer. The Board approved the contract & bond of John Nocton in the mat- ter of installing a Gasoline & Oil Dispenser at #449 South 5th St. The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution #600-1921, to improve both sides of South 3rd Street by constructing cement • sidewalks 5' ft in width ; also cement curb & gutter standard width from South "A" to South "D" Street. The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of the Contract under Improvement Resolution #586-1921 to improve the 1st alley • south of North "A" Street by constructing a cement roadway in said alley the full width thereof from North 9th Street to the alley running north & south between North 8th & 9th Street. The Board accepted same and ordered an assessment roll prepared. The Board met to hear all pemons interested or whose property is affected by the wi dening of a porti on of the alley between South 17th & 18th Street running from South "A" Street north to a point where said alley intersects the alley running east to South 18th Street ; by widening said alley 16' ft in width at a point where a Brick Barn stands in alley located on Tract 497 Official Map' of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as provided by Declaratory Reso- lution #148-1921. No one appearing and no remonstrance having been filed and being fully advised in the matter the Board took final action on said resolution confirming without modification all former action taken on same, and the Board now orders that a list or roll be prepared of all owners or holders of property, ' and all valuable interest therein sought to be taken or to be in- juriously affected, which list or roll shall also describe the property beneficially affected. 1 .02 Thursday_, April 21 , 1921. The Board accepted the resignation of Clyde Lake, City Fireman, `and appointed Earl Williams to fill the vacancy. Bills to the amount of 07 ,765.63 were allowed. The Board -approved the various pay rolls Up to April 16th, 1921 . The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the office of said board Monday, April 25, 1921, at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present Messrs. von Pein, Taylor, and Peitz , the following proceedings were had to-wit: - The Board met to hear remonstrances if any of persons Primarily Assessed on account of the construction of a Sanitary Sewer over and across lot 28 Original Plat of Oakland , in the rear of lots on the west side of South 7th Street from South "J" to South "L" Street under Improvement Resolution f583-m1920. No one appearing or remonstrating the Board approved the Final Assessement Roll confirming in all things the original assessment roll as hereto- fore approved and now direct the same be transmitted forthwith to the ' Dept . of Finance. The Board approved the Primary Assessment Roll in the matter of Improvement Resolution 4 586- 1921 for the construction of a cement roadway in the 1st alley south of North "A" Street from North 9th to the alley running north and south between North 8th & 9th Ste. The Board approved the Primary Assessment Roll of benefits & dam- ages in the matter of the widening of a portion of the alley bet. South 1'7th & 18th Streets where a brick barn stands in said alley _ located on Tract 497 Official Map of the City of Richmond, under Declaratory Resolution 4$148-1921. I/ The Board received a notice from the Secretary of the Public Ser- vice of Indiana that the hearing on the petition of. the Richmond City Water Works for authority to issue y 50,000.00 in stock would _ be held on Thursday, April 28th, 1921, at 11 A.M. in the rooms. of the Public Service Commission, State House , Indianapolis., Indiana. Which was referred to the City Attorney. The Board instructed. the Clerk to advertise for bids for coal
