MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF AULT,
COLORADO. MEETING HELD IN THE TOWN HALL IN SAID TOWN OF AULT ON THE 8TH DAY OF
JUNE AT 7:00 P.M.

REGULAR MEETING 2022-06 June 8, 2022.
MEETING PROCEDURE: Comments from the Public are welcome at two separate times during the course of the
meeting: 1) Comments on items not scheduled on the agenda will be heard under public comments. 2) Comments on
all scheduled Agenda items will be heard immediately following the presentation by Staff or the Petitioner. Please wait
until you are recognized by the Mayor and keep comments as brief as possible. The Town Board of Trustees will act on
an Agenda item after comments from the Staff and the Public has been heard.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor White at 7:00 p.m.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
I1. ROLL CALL: All members were present.
III. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Referrals #3 will be tabled until a future date. MOTION WAS MADE BY
TRUSTEE ANDERSON and seconded by Trustee Cole to approve the agenda as amended. Motion passed
with a unanimous vote.
IV. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTE APPROVAL Regular Meeting 2022-05 May 11, 2022: Trustee Cole
pointed out that the Cash in Lieu for Conestoga is still pending as far as how to set the price. A MOTION WAS
MADE BY TRUSTEE RUFF and seconded by Trustee Biwer to approve the Regular Minutes 2022-05 pending
verification on Conestoga Cash in Lieu. Motion passed with a unanimous vote.
V. COMMITTEE REPORTS
Finance- Running in black, no audit report yet.
Library- There are squirrels in the building. Upcoming activities include Creative Writing, Therapy
Dogs/Stories and Boy Scouts Merit Training.
Parks and Cemetery- There are three trees at Skate Park that may be dead. Memorial Park has four trees that
need trimmed/repaired. The Museum has a tree that needs trimmed. Staff will look into who is responsible for
the tree with the Museum. There are four dead trees along Conestoga Drive and one in Conestoga Park. These
trees should still be under warranty.

Water and Sewer- There are two hydrants down. The Fire Pump is offline. The new pump will be here in
August. The WWTP is within limits. The water tank cleaning will take place in July. AMS has set up for
sludge removal at the WWTP lagoons.
Streets- Butch and Grant will meet with Schneider Paving this week.
Police- For the month of May there were unofficially 639 calls for service with 203 citations and 91 warnings.
Ault PD served as an advisory to a Nunn homicide. Juliana Ramirez was hired for Police Records.
Beautification- No report.
Planning Commission- There was a Site Plan request for Lots 3 and 4 in Freedom Acres which did not pass
and will be brought back with changes to their request.
Staff Reports: The draft marijuana ordinance is still in process. Attorney Scott gave information on current
cases being delt with in Court.
VI. APPROVAL OF ACCOUNTS PAYABLE: A MOTION WAS MADE BY TRUSTEE RUFF and seconded
by Trustee Anderson to approve the accounts payable May 11 to June 8, 2022. Motion passed with a
unanimous vote.
VII. REFERRALS REQUESTS AND PRESENTATIONS
1). Consideration of Participation in the On Demand Transit program with Weld County for 2023/2024:
This item was tabled to gather additional information.
2). Consideration of Special Events Permit for the Ault Fall Festival: The notice of Special Event permit
was posted with no comments received by the Clerk. Further information is needed from the committee prior to
a Board decision. The committee needs to meet with Police and Public Works. The Mayor will send a list of
questions to be answered to the AFF Committee. They will also need to provide their Certificate of Good
Standing and a map of the beer garden area for this year.
3). Site Plan review for Lots 3 and 4, Freedom Acres for Dirt One Excavating and RB Leasing LLC: This
item was tabled.
VIII. PUBLIC COMMENTS: The purpose of the Public Comments Section of the Agenda is for members of the
public to speak to Town Council on any subject not scheduled on the Regular Agenda. In order to accomplish
scheduled agenda items, comments should be limited to a five-minute time period. Town Council shall make
no decision or action, except to schedule the matter for Council discussion at a .later date. THOSE
ADDRESSING COUNCIL ARE REQUESTED TO COME TO THE PODIUM AND TO STATE THEIR
NAME TO THE BOARD

IX. OLD BUSINESS
X. NEW BUSINESS
1). Resolution 2022-10 to opt out of the FAMLI Act: After discussion, A MOTION WAS MADE BY
TRUSTEE COLE and seconded by Trustee Anderson to approve Resolution 2022-10, opting out of the FAMLI
Act. Motion passed with a unanimous vote.
With no further business to come before the Board the meeting was adjourned at 8:03 p.m.
