The Board approved the various pay rolls Up to March 1st , 1921. Mar. 10; 1921. • The Board of Public Works. of the' Cit,T of Riohmond, , Indi arm. , met in regular session in the office of said Board Thursday, March 10, 1921, at 9 A.M. All the members of . the said Board being present Messrs. von Pein, Taylor, and Peitz .the following proceedings were . had to-wit : The Board met to hear remonstrances of persons primarily assessed _ in the matter of benefits & damages for the widening of the Commons Road, known as the Peacock Road, from North-west 5th St . to the West Corporation Line under Declaratory.Resolution f144 - 1921. No written remonstrance having been filed, and after carefully con- sidering the verbal remonstrance of Henry W. Tubersing the Board approved the Final 'Assessment Roll of Benefits & Damages without modification, and declare said street widened, and ordered said as- sessment roll transmitted forthwith to the Dept. of Finance. The Clerk presented the complaints from Council of Monday , March • Thursday, March 10., 1921. 79 7th, and the Board instructed the Clerk to instruct the Bolice Dept. to notify the property owners at North 16th & ttEtt Streets, • and at other locations over the City where mud and dirt wash down from banks onto the sidwalk, to tape measures to prevent this from occuring or that the ordinance regulating this matter rill be enforced. Lurkhardt , Contractor under Impr oveme-nt Resolutions #584 - 585 & 586-1921. - - On motion of Mr. Pelts, seconded by Mr. Taylor the Board unanimous- ly adopted Improvement teso Iuti. on #590-1921 with specifications at- tached to construct a -general relief serer in South 7th Street, run- ning from the sewer in Main Street at 7th Street ; thence south on South 7th Street to South "C" Street ; thence west on South "C" St. to the South 6t1-. Street sewer. The cost of such sewer- to be paid for out of an appropriation therefore , made by the Common Council. The Board took up the bids submitted on March 7th to furnish the City of Richmond 20,000 gallons more or less of Tarvia "B" or its equal. Mr. Pelts moved that the hid of the Barrett Co-. be accepted and the contract sc awarded , providing that they furnish Bond & Con- tract satisfactory to said Board . Seconded by Mr. Tayl-or so ordered. The Board accepted the resignation of Wis. Stover of the Fire Dept . , and confi rmed the appointment of Elmer Berg to fill the vacancy caused by the resi-grra-ti on of Wm. Stover. - Del Davis, City Encri-veer, representing the Young Men' s Business Club , brought up the matter of having Public Band Concerts in Glen Miller Park, and Mr. Pelts moved that the Board agree to pay cit250.0C tc the Ycung Hen' s Business Club for Band Concerts, agreement to be drawn by City Atty.. Seconded by Mr. Taylor so ordered..
