The Board of Public forks of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met
in regular session in the office of said Board Monday , March 7 ,
1921, at 9 A.N. All the members of the said Board bpi ng present
Messrs. von Fein, Taylor, and Pe?t7 the following proceedings
were had to-wit: -
The Board approved the petition of Geo. E. Clark for permission
to cut the curb for a 12' ft driveway,under private contract, on
I/
North "C" Street on the side of real estate .302 North 12th St.
subject to the inspection and approval of the City Engineer.
The Board received bids for the improvement of the alley between
• Randolph & Lincoln Street by constructing cement roadway from
West 2nd to West 3rd Street under Improvement Resolution #584 -
1921 as follows to-wit : -
F. E. Slicks bid :
Roadway complete per sq.ft. ---- - y 0.33-
Dan_iel G. Burkhardt' s bid :
Roadway complete per se . ft. - 0.28
Mr. Peitz moved that the bid of Daniel G. Burkhardt' s being the
lowest , and within the Engineer' s estimate that it be accepted
and the contract so awarded . Seconded by Er. Taylor so ordered.
The Board received bids for the improvement of the alley between
West Main & Kinsey Street from Wiest 2nd to West 3rd Street by con-
structing a cement roc dray under Improvement Ree,elution. #585-1921
as follows to-wit: -

F. E. Slick ' s bid: - roadway complete per sq. ft. Q0.30
D. G. Burkhardt' s bid: " Yt YT TT Tt 0.27-
Mr. Feltz moved that the bid of Daniel G. Burkhardt ' s being the
lowest , and_within the Enp;ineer' s estimate that it be accepted
End the contract so awarded. Seconded by Mr. Taylor so ordered.
The Board received bids for the improvement of the 1st alley south
of North "A" St. from North 9th St. to the alley running north and
south between North 8th & 9th St. under Improvement Resolution
T58G - 1921 as follows to-wit :
F. E. Slick ' s bid: roadway complete ete per sq. ft. $0.28
Daniel G. Burkhardt' s bid: roadway complete per sq. ft. 0.25
Mr. Feltz moved that the bid of Daniel G. Burkhardt' s being the
lowest , and with in the Engineer' s estimate that it be accepted
and the contract so awarded. Seconded by Mr. Taylor so ordered.
The Board received bids for Tarvia "B" or its equal as follows to-
wit : -
F. J. Lewis Mfg. . Co. bid :
Lewis Road Tar "B" made according: tothe attached specifications,
in tank cars,, two, each of. atenroximately 10,000 gallons at 00.13-
cents gallon, FOB tank cars, Richmond, Ind.
No certified check accompanied above hid.

Barrett Co. bid:
Tarvia B in our tank cars loaded to marked capacity of approxi--
. r.!ately 10,O00 gals each, 111 per gallon f.o.b. Chicago, this
quotati on to cover your requirements of 20 . to 30,000 gallons,
and is for acceptance by March 20th, 1921, and on business so awarded
for shipment- in tank carlots as you may later instruct , but prior •
to October 1st, 1921.
• Mr. Pel tz moved. that the bids be taken under advisement until
Thursday, Larch 10th, 1921. Seconded by "Mr. Taylor so ordered.
The Board instructed. the Pelf ce Dept. to enforce the Parking Ord.
prohibiting parking on the vest side of 5th 6th - 7th- 8th -- 9th
&: 10th Streets from North "A" to South "A"Street, and to regulate ,
_ parking on Main Street by allowing parking parallel with the curb
only. .
Bills to the amount of 014,837 .89 were allowed. .
The Board approved the various pay rolls up to March 1st , 1921.

. that he prepare an ordinance asking Council to appropriate 55,•000.00
for the South 7th Street sever.
The Board then adjourned.

Messrs. von Fein, Taylor, and Peitz the following proceedings were
had to--wi t :
The Board met to hear remonstrances of persons primarily assessed
in the matter of benefits & damages for the widening of the Commons
Road, known as the Peacock Road ,�from North-west 5th St . to the
West Corporation Line under Declaratory Resolution #144 - 1921. No •
written remonstrance hav'i ng• been fi led, and after carefully c on-
sidering the verbal remonstrance of Henry W. Tubersing the Board
approved the Final .ssessm ent Roll of Benefits E.; Damages wi thout
modification, and declare said street vi dened, and ordered said as-
sessment roll transmitted forthwith to the Dept. of Finance .
