A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE WIKAUUKE SRA STUDY
WHEREAS, a multi jurisdictional organization was established to address regional
transportation issues, and
WHEREAS, the WIKADUKE Committee initiated, pursued and studied a new north/south
SRA to address grawing traffic congestion in the region, and
WHEREAS, the WIKADUKE Committee has completed the SRA study, and
WHEREAS, the Village of Plainfield Board of Trustees recognized the need for these
improvements and supports the efforts of the committee; and
WHEREAS, it is important that property owners and future developers be informed of this
new SRA route such that it can be accommodated in their planning; and
WHEREAS, without proper notice to property owners, developers, and others, there is an
increased risk of failure to procure proper right-of--way to accommodate this route.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Village of Plainfield formally requests that
both Kendall and Will County take action to record the centerline as proposed by the SRA study.
