The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the office of said Board Monday , February 14th, 1921, at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present Messrs. von Pein, Taylor, and . Peitz the following proceedings were had to -wit : - The Board received from Dougan-Jenkins & Co. a reply to their letter of Feb. 10th in regard to F. E. Slick' s garbage contractI/ which was ordered placed on file. The Board received a petition signed by Walter V. Reid and twenty- three others, for the passage of a resolution providing for. the improvement of Kinsey street from West 1st to West 5th St. by con- structing a Tarvia Macadam Street between points named. Referred to the City Engineer .for papers. The Board received the following communication: Richmond, Ind. Feb. 10th. To the Board of Public Works: Gentlemen : I prefer charges against William Stover a member of the Fire Department and I suspended same on February 10th, for not report- ing for duty with out a good excuse. Yours very truly, E. E. Miller Fire Chief. and upon the acknowledgement by Mr. Stover himself that the charges were true, the Board instructed Mr. Miller to deprive him of his two weeks vacation as punishment but allowing him to re- sume his duties, with the understanding •however that he be dis- charged at next offence.
