All the members of the said Board being present Messrs. von Pein, Taylor, and Feltz the following proceedings were had to-wit : Miss Esther Griffin White appeared before the Board to explain why she had filed an injunction against the filling in of the old Natl . Road. _ The Board allowed the bill of Frank E. Weaver as Son for $349 .16 for repairs at the Light Plant. The Board met to hear remonstrances of. persons Primarily Assessed on account of the construction of a cement roadway in the alley be- tween North "D" L "E" Sts. from 22nd to 23rd St. under improvement Resolution 581-1920. After hearing I. A. Gorman who appeared and remonstrated against the assessment the Board approved the Final _Assessment Roll confirming in all things the Original Assessment Roll as heretofore approved, and not; direct the same to be trans- mitted forthwith to the Bert . of Finance. The Board received a petition signed by Albert O. Martin and four others for the passage of a resolution providing for the ;vacation_ of Howard Street , from W. 1st to W. 2nd Street. The Board unanimously/adopted Declaratory Resolution #143-1921 for the vacation of Howard St. from W. 1st to Ti'. 2nd St. The City of hicli fond, Indiana, reserves the right to construct and maintain a __sewer in Howard St . from the alley between W. let E4 2nd to W. 2nd. St. 54 Monday, January 10, 1921". The Board granted Rollie i dickens permission to gardenthe ground at the gravel site for the sum of 20.00 for the season 1921. A. Gordon, Supt . of the St . Car Co. appeared before the Board asking permission for the Dayton. & Western Traction Co. to run a telephone line from 8th & Main St. to the Traction Freight House at N. 7th & "D" , along their own poles. Co. , for the passage of a Resolution providing for the construction of a cement roadway in the 1st . alley south of North "A" St . from N. 9th St. to the alley run- fling north & south between N. Heating Kettle for the 'otreet Department, according to the specifications furnished by the City Engineer. The Board allowed F. E. Slick his garbage contract bill of $447 .75 for the month of December, 1920. • Mr. Peltz moved that the City purchase a revolver for the Con- troller' s & Treasurer' s Dept. Seconded by Mir.
