PLAINk'IELD VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING
.Regular Meeting
DATE. March 21, 1977 AT: New Village Hall
MEMBERS. OF BOARD PRESENT: C. Pottorff, President, G, Beahm, L. Robinson,
G. Ansley, J. King, Trustees were present.
Trustee R. Selfridge was absent.
President Pottorff called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m, with the
Pledge to the Flag. Roll call was taken. Trustee R. Selfridge was absent.
The Treasurer's Report was submitted.
G. Ansley made a motion the Treasurer put the balance in Revenue Sharing
Fund as of June 1 iota Bank Note Building Fund. Secanded by J. King.
Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye.
Four ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
G. Beahm made a motion to contact. Village Engineer to submit a cost
estimate on resurfacing Desplaines Street from Chicago to Commercial Street.
Seconded by G. Ansley. Motion declared carried.
Plans were submitted for Emergency Services and Disaster Agency area
downstairs in the Village Hall which have been approved by Building
Inspector and Electrical Inspector.
G. Beahm made a motion to accept plans as presented and for Tom Mefferd to
submit an estimate of cost far finishing area. Seconded by G. Ansley.
Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye.
Four ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
J. King announced New Police cax will be. Dodge Monaco at a cost of $4,214,65F
G. Ansley made a motion to advertise for bids for new blower .for treatment
plant with bids to be opened April 18, 1977 with bids receivable up to
8:00 p.m.. Seconded by G, Beahm. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson,
aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye. four ayes, na nays, Motion declared carriedR
There was discussion relative to renting space in new Village Hall to
Park District. Trustees Beahm and Robinson were appointed to meet as a
committee with Park President Berglund and Park Commissioner Wright.
G. Ansley made a motion to have G. Beahm use own judgement on salvage of
material from concrete block building at Village Hall site, Seconded by
L. Robinson. Motion declared carried.

G. Beahm was appointed to contact Glenn Kinley for cleaning. and
maintenance of Village Hall.
L. Robinson made a motion to recind passage of .Ordinances. No. 885,
"An Ordinance Annexing. Certain Territory to the Village of Plainfield, Will

County, Illinois, on Route ~~59 (Findlay Farm) Chapter 7, Article 8 Section
8-59 of the Code of Ordinances of .the Village of Plainfield and Na.

Ordinances of the Village of Plainfield, Seconded by J. King. Vote by

no nays. Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to pass Ordinance No. $$6, ""An Ordinance Annexing
Certain Territory to the Village of Plainfield, Will County, Illinois
On Route l~59 (Findlay 'Farm)" Chapter 7, Article 8 Section 8-59 of the Code
of Ordinances of the Village of Plainfield. Seconded by G. Beahm. 'V'ote by
toll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye. Four ayes,
no nays. Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 887, Amending Zoning Ordinance
No. 674 "Rezoning of Findlay Farm (Route 459) Plainfield, Illinois, Chapter
8, Article 7, Section 7-43 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of
Plainfield. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson,
aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to have a street light installed in the area .of
16 Maple Court. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye;
Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion declared
carried.
On motion meeting adjourned at 9:10 p.m.
