Regular Meeting
DATE: February 21, 1977 AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT:' C. Pattorff, President, L. Robinson, G. Ansley,
J. King, R. Selfridge, Trustees were present.
Trustee, G. Beahm was absent.
President Pottorff called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m, with the
Pledge to the Flag. Ralf call was taken. Trustee, G. Beahm was absent.
The Treasurer's Report was submitted.
J. King made a motion to approve purchase of a new Police Squad car at
a cost of $4,300.00. Seconded by G, Ansley. Vote by roll ca11: Robinson,
aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye; Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion
declared carried.
J. King and G. Ansley were appointed to the Police Pension Fund Board.
'~ R. Selfridge made a motion to allow Pat McKanna car mileage at $.15 per
mile during the period of time spent an Housing Survey in connection
with the 701 Grant. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Robinson,
aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye; Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, na nays. Motion
declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to approve President sign and mail letter to
surrounding municipalities for jurisdictional boundary agreements. Seconded
by R. Selfridge. Motion declared carried.
R. Selfridge made a motion to accept recornrnendation of Plan Commission to
annex Findlay farm and rezone to Residence B. Seconded by J. King. Vote
by roll call: Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King,. aye; Selfridge, aye.
Four ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
R. Selfridge made a motian to accept pre-annexation agreement pertaining
to Findlay Farm with the following changes as outlined by Village Attorney:
Paragraph 411 - sixteen inch main should be changed to fifteen inch main
(lines 6 and 10). Four inch over-sizing should be changed to three inch
aver_sizing in the last line of said paragraph. Paragraph 412 - delete
from the second line of the paragraph the words "of adequate size and
with adequate pressure". Change six hundred feet East to four hundred
feet East (line 7 ). Seconded by J. King. Vvte by roll call: Robinson,
aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye;,Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion
declared carried.

L. Robinson made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 884, entitled "An Ordinance
Authorizing the Execution of a Pre~Annexation Agreement With Jeannette M.
Findlay and Union National Bank and Trust Company of Joliet", Chapter 7,
Article 8, Sec. 8-58 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Plainfield.
Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye;
King, aye; Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, no nays. .Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 885, entitled "An Ordinance
Annexing Certain Territory to the Village of Plainfield, Wi11 County,
Illinois, on Route 459 (.Findlay Farm)" Chapter 7, Article 8 Section
8-59 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Plainfield. Seconded
by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye;
Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
R. Selfridge made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 886, amending Zoning
Ordinance No. 674,. entitled "Rezoning of Findlay Farm (Route 59) Plainfield,
Illinois", Chapter 8, Article 7, Section 7-43 of the Code of Ordinances of
the Village of Plainfield. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Robinson,
aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye; Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion
declared carried.
