Complete Board Present
President Pattorff called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. Roll call was
taken. All members were present.
The Treasurer's Report was submitted.
A letter from Walter E. Deuchler Associates, Inc., Village Engineer,
was read recommending the acceptance of Penn Road in Country Manors
Subdivision.
G. Beahm made a motion to accept Penn Road to the end of the pavement in
Country Manors Subdivision. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call:
Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye; Selfridge, nay. Four
ayes, one nay. Motion declared carried.
Police Department was given authorization by Board to purchase a .first aid
kit large enough to serve the new Municipal Building.
R. Selfridge made a motion to have Village Engineer proceed with necessary
plans to advertise far bids far anew blower at the sewage treatment plant.
Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; ~'"
Ansley, aye; King, aye; Selfridge, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion
declared carried.
R. Selfridge made a motion to turn the Storm Water Detention area, Whispering
Creek Subdivision, over to the Park District fox ownership and maintenance
if they are interested. Seconded by G. Beahm. Motion declared carried.
Board authorized the fallowing with regard to the new Municipal Building:
To omit paneling in Board Room and take the allowance ($270.00).
Carpet the two unassigned areas.
Take up carpet under rostrum and use for rostrum platform.
Township Supervisor, Charles Zimmerman requested meeting room space in new
Municipal Building. Board concurred and will decide an amount of rental
by next Board meeting.
R. Selfridge made a motion to pass the renewal of the 1969 Permit Yearly
Resolution with the Illinois Department of 'Transportation. Seconded by
G. Beahm. Motion declared carried.

On motion meeting adjourned to an Executive Session at 9:10 p,m. to
discuss personnel.
President Pottorff reconvened meeting at 9;~0 p.m.
J. King made a motion to hire Monica Ice as a part time dispatcher for
the Police Department.. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call:
Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye; Selfridge, aye.
Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
R. Selfridge made a motion to accept recommendation of Plan Commission
Chairman to approve contract with Thomas Murphy for planning consultant
services with the stipulation that approval of Board be required on
payments for services. Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by roll call:
Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King aye; Selfridge, aye.
Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
Village Clerk was instructed to send letters to Park District, School
Board, and Township Board soliciting additional funds of $500.00 each
to help defray expenses o£ planning services.
On motion meeting adjourned 10:15 p.m,
