A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CHANGE ORDER IN THE CONTRACT
BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD AND "D" CONSTRUCTION.
WHEREAS, the Village of Plainfield and "D" Construction previously entered into
a contract for the construction of improvements on Des Plaines Street; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is in the best interest of the Village
to add and deduct certain work to the original contract; and
WHEREAS, the circumstances necessitating said changes were not reasonably
foreseeable at the time the contract was executed and said change orders are in the
best interest of the Village of Plainfield, as authorized by law.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
That it is hereby determined that it is in the best interest of the Village
of Plainfield to authorize Change Orders No. 1 through 7, dated October
18, 1999, and that the circumstances necessitating said change were
not reasonably foreseeable at the time the contract was executed and
that said change orders are in the best interest of the Village of Plainfield,
as authorized by law.
II. The President is hereby authorized to execute said proposed change
orders, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof as
Exhibit "A", and that a copy of said Resolution and Exhibit shall be
preserved in a file regarding said contract which shall be open to the
public for inspection pursuant to 720 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/33E-9.
