A RESOLUTION TEMPORARILY CLOSING A PORTION OF
U. S. ROUTE 30 AND ROUTE 59 IN THE VILLAGE OF
PLAINFIELD FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE PLAINFIELD
HOMECOMING PARADE TO BE HELD SATURDAY,
SEPTEMBER 25, 1999.
WHEREAS, the Plainfield Consolidated Schaal District #202 of the Village of Plainfield
desires to hold their 4$th Annual Homecoming Parade on U. S. Raute 30 and Route 59 on Saturday,
September 25, 1999.
WHEREAS, said parade will require the closing of Route 30 either partially or completely
between the west junction with Illinois Route 126 and the east junction with Illinois Route 59.
WHEREAS, said parade will require the closing or stopping of traffic on southbound Route
59 between Commercial and Newkirk Streets (1 block).
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois requires the Village to assume all responsibility and liability
involved in the closing of said highway.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Village of Plainfield will assume full responsibility for the direction, protection
and regulation of traffic during the time the detour is in effect, and all liabilities for
the damages of any kind occasioned by the closing of said State Route.
2. It is further agreed that efficient, all weather detours will be maintained
conspicuously marked and judiciously police patrolled for the benefit of traffic
deviated from the State Route.
