The Board of Public i'crk`.s of the City of :tichriond, Indiana, met in
regular session in the office of said Hoard Monday, October 18 ,1920,
at 9 A.M. Two members of the said Board bring present Messrs. 7011
Fein, and Taylor , absent Mr. 2eltz the following proceedings e,e
had to-wit : -
The Board received the resignation of Albert H. Schneider as Street
Commissioner, to take effect at once . Mr . Taylor moved that the
resignation resip_mation be accepted. seconded by Mr . von Fein motion prevailed.
Mr . Taylor moved that Isaac Pryor be appointed street Commissioner
of the Ci t'i of AAi.chmond, In i ,m , to 11 the unexpired term of
Albert H. Schneider resigned.fed. Seconded by Mr. von rein cioti on pre-
vailed.
The Board then adjourned.

The Board of Public V;orks of the City of Mi ohmond, Indiana, met in
regular session in the office of said Board Thursday , October 21,
1920. at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present
Messrs. von Fein, Tsylor, and Peitz the following proceedings were
had to-wit : -
Paul Beckett , AAtty . presented a petition from the residence of the
7th 41ard of the City to have the ash blower at the City Light Plant
taken out , and to eliminate the blowing of dust from ashes over
their residence , signed bI Paul Haseltine 8 94 others. The Board
referred the petition to .Ir. Billou,Supt . of the Light Plant .
Dr. Geo. B . Hunt , & John Marri igton, Jr. , a Committee , appeared be-
fore the Board asking for permission to use the S. 10th St. .Park
and the street surrounding it for general Celebration of Armistice
Day, on motion of Mr. Feltz the request was granted.
The Clerk presented the subject Er. Stegrlan brought up to Council
in regard to the placing of a fire plug on South "I" St. , which was
referred to Mr. Miller , Fire Chief.
The Board received bids for the sewer in SW. 1st St . ; thence west in
Thursday, Oct. 21 , 1920.

Bair. Peitz moved that this being the only bid, and being within
the City Engineer' s estimate , that it be accepted, and contract
so awarded. Seconded by Mr. Taylor motion prevailed.
The Board met to hear all • persons interested or whose praperty
is affected by the vacation of the alley between vacated North
14th St. 8, N. 15th St . in the rear of lots #534 & 555 , Elizabeth
Starr' s Add. under Declaratory t„ oluti on ; d

appearing and no remonstrance having been filed the Board took
final acti on on said heeoluti on the same being confirmed with-
out modification, and the Board ordered that a roll be prepared
of all owners or holders of property, and all valuable interest
therein sought to be taken or to be injuriously affected, which
list or roll shall also describe the property beneficially af-
fected, and the Board fixed a price to be assessed as benefits
at 3.14 per front foot on North "E" Street.
The Board met to hear all persons interested or Whose property
is affected by the vacation of the alley running north z, south
between North 14th ;] 15th 5ts. between lots ;;-541 to 544 on the
side, and lots �r545 to 548 on the east side , Elizabeth
Starr' s Adel. under Declaratory Resolution -j,-141-1920. No one
appearing and no remonstrnace having been filed the Board took
final action on said lie; o lution the same being confirmed viith-
out modification, and the Board- ordered that a roll be prepared
of all owners or holders of property, and all valuable interest
therein sought to be taken or to be injuriously affected, which
list or roll shall .also describe the property beneficially af-
fected, and the Board fixed a price to be assessed as benefits

The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property

Street situate between blocks C & D in Elizabeth Starr' s Add.
under Declaratory Nesoluti on u-142-1920 . No one appearing and no,
remonstrance having been filed the Board took final action on
said Resolution the same being confirmed without modification,
and the Boar d ordered that a -roll be prepared of all owners or'
holders of property, and all valuable interest therein sought to
be taken or to be injuriously affected, which list or roll shall
also describe the property beneficially affected, and the Board
fixed a price to be assessed as benefits at 3.i4 per front footI/
on forth"E"Street.
The City Engineer was instructed to take up with the Managers of
Loving Picture Theatres the albject of their advertising on the
public trash cans.

Bills to the amount of ti:17 ,319 .12 were allowed and ordered paid.
The Board approved the various payrolls up to Oct. 16th , 1920.
The Board then adjourned.

The Board approved the petition of Wm. Stolle for permission to
cut the curb for a 107 ft drivewa:, in front of real estate #11
Liberty Ave. under private contract and at the Yeti tioner' s ex-
pense , subject to the inspection and approval of the City Eng.
The Board approved and signed the Contract & Bond of Z. B. •Pyle ,
-Contractor under Improvement Resolution #582-1920.
The Board approved the Primary Assessment Roll fo benefits and
damages in the matter of the vacation of the alley between vacat-
ed N. 14th St, and N. 15th St. in the rear of lots #534 & 555,
Elizabeth Starr. ' s Add. under Declaratory nesoluti on 4140-1920, and
fixed Monday, November 8th, 1920 , as the day of hearing against
said assessment .,
