A Resolution directing the establishment of a Special Service Area.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Plainfield may
approve certain annexation and zoning procedures for the property carnmonly referred to
as Farmington Village; and
WHEREAS, said property includes a variety of private improvements to be maintained
by a Homeowner's Association established by the developer, Ocean Atlantic Woodland
Corporation; and
WHEREAS, the developer has suggested and the Village has accepted the concept of
using a Special Service Area to assure the maintenance of these private improvements
should the Homeowner's Association fail to do so at any time in the future;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES that should the required annexation and zoning procedures be adopted then
the Village Attorney is hereby instructed to prepare the necessary ordinances, hearings,
and procedures to implement said Special Service Area. If the annexation and zoning
procedures are not adopted by the Mayor and the Board then the attorney is not to prepare
said documents and hearings.
