WHEREAS, the Village of Plainfield has adopted Resolution No. 1198 setting forth certain
policies and procedures relating to temporary disabled elected officials; and,
WHEREAS, the Village of Plainfield desires to implement said Resolution No. 1198; and,
WHEREAS, this Board of Trustees has determined that Mr. Richard Rock has been temporarily
disabled for more than 45 days, that Mr. Rock is confined largely to his residence because
of this temporary disability and is unable to exercise sufficient personal mobility to attend
meetings; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Richard Rock has submitted an Affidavit attached hereto stating that he has in
fact been temporarily disabled and further satisfies and agrees with the policy and
procedure of Resolution No. 1198 and therefore requests its application to his situation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees declares that Mr.
Richard Rock is temporally disabled pursuant to Resolution No. 1198 and that the policy
and procedures of said Resolution shall be implemented upon activation of the required
telecommunication systems.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President Pro Tem shall continue to Chair the meetings
of the Board of Trustees and conduct the remainder of Village business pursuant to State
of Illinois Statutes.
