The Board instructed Mr. Dillon, Supt. of the Light Plant , to get up plans and specifi cations to enable the Board to receive bids upon the separate items for proposed 5000 ii.Vi. turbin in- stallation. The Board instructed the Clerk to write a letter to Mr. Gordon, Supt. of the Street Car Co. acknowledging the Board' s appreciation of the Co' s. repairing Main Street along their tracks. . The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met in regular session in the office of said Board Thursday, Sept . 30, 1920, at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being pre- sent Messrs..-Von Pein, Taylor, and Feltz the folI6W ng proceed- ings were had to-wit : - The Board approved the petition of `A. W. Smith for permission to cut the curb under private contract and at his own expense in- front of Real Estate #43 on the east side of South 19th St . sub • - ject to the approval of the City Engineer. The Board instructed, the Clerk to notify the iodefeld Mfg. Co. that the Board alter careful considerati on cannot see their vray • clear to having a Gasoline Pump placed on Main St .- as near the Bridge as it would be infront of their place of business , and suggested that they place it on 1st Street . - Mr. Peitz moved that the tool •shed belonging to the Street DentsI/ or: North 10th Street be rented to Z. Shook at the rate of( ; ;000) Five Dollars per month, the building to be repaired at the rent- er' s expense . Seconded by Er. Taylor motion prevailed . The Board instructed the Bldg. Inspector and the City Engineer to look after and place the building on Newman' s Hill in habitable shape , and report to the Board so that the building can be rent- ed at once. Thursday, Sept. 30, 1920 . 1 '7 Mr. Pelts moved that under the direction of the City Engineer we observe what will be called Inspection Day, and for the City E;ng•. to give the date and hour for the inspection at the next Board meeting . The Board of Public works of the City of Richmond , Indiana , met in regular session inthe office of said Board Monday, October, 4, 1920 at 9 A.M. All the members of the said -board being present Messrs . Von Pein, Taylor, and Peitz the following proceedings. r.°er-e had to- wit :- The Board received a petition from the Starr Piano Co. sinned by Walter G. Butler, Atty. , for the removal of waste material in the Cumberla .d cr National Road, Official Map #198 of the City of Richmond , Wayne County, Indiana, which was referred to the City Attorney. Mr. E. M. Campfield appeared before the Board representing the Rotary Club , for the purpose of getting the co-operation of the Board of Public Works for the placing of signs at the entrance of Glen Miller Park, and all roads leading into the City for the benefit of automobile tourists. The Board approved the petition of Frank Dozza to move . a two story frame house from the corner of N. 15th & "E" St. , lot '555 Eliza- beth Starr' s Add. to Lot #1 & 2, C . H. Coffin' s Add. on North 16th & "G" Ste. (See petition) . I/ The Board approved and signed the Contract and Agreement with J.D. Lyons of Cincinnati , 0 . , Consulting Engineer, in the matter of the purchasing of the equipment for the M.E.L. & P.P. The Board designated Pri. ,Oct. 8th, as Seeing Richmond First In- spection Day, the party to leave the City Hall in automobiles at 1 :30 P.M. The Board then adjourned.
