Jordan to have them cut from his lot on 23rd St . , and the matter of the petitions for the extention of gas mains of the -:might ,. Heat & Power Co. the Board decided to investigate. Mr. Peitz moved that the Democratic Committee be granted permis- sion to palce a banner across South 8th St . at the E. of P. Tem- ple. Seconded by Mr. Taylor motion prevailed. Mr. Liiller,Fire Chief, called the Board' : attention to the block- ir_r of traffic by the T. H. I . & E. Traction Co . at Ft . Mayne Ave . & North "ilr' St . The Board instructed Mr. Miller to take this mat- ter up with the officials of the. Street 'Car Co. and report back to the Board. The Board allowed. the claim of Wm. A. Sept . 27 , 1920. - The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana , met in regular session in the office of s • d Board Monday, September 27th, 1920, at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present, Messrs. Von Fein, Taylor, and Peitz , the following proceedings were had to-wit : - Th • e Board met to hear remonstrances if any of persons primarily assessed on account of the Improvement of North 23rd Street from 'North "E" St. to North "F" St. by grading and graveling the road- . way and constructing cement curb & gutter under improvement Reso. -572-1919 , no one appearing and no. remonstrance having been filed - the Board approved the Final Assessment Roll confirming in all things the original assees_ient roll as heretofore approved, and said assessment roll is forther ordered transmitted forthwith to the Dept . of Finance. - Mr. Peitz moved that the City Engineer be instructed to purchase six more trash cans , and place them in convenient locations along 16 Konday, September 27 , 1920. the streets. Seconded by Mr. Taylor motion prevailed. The Board instructed i:r. Dillon; Supt. of the Light Plant , to get up plans and specifications to enable the Board to receive bids upon the separate items for proposed 5000 K.W. turbin in- stallation. Th'e Board of Public riorks of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met in regular session in the office of said Board Thursday, Sert . 30, 1920, at 9 A.I.I. All the members cf the said Board being pre- sent Messrs:-Von Pein, Taylor, and Peitz the folraMi ng proceed- ings were had to-wit : - The Board approved the petition of `L. Smith for permission to cut the curb under private contract and at his own expense in- front of Real Estate f43 on the east side of South 19th St. sub • - ject to the approval of the City Engineer. The Board instructed. the Clerk to notify the nodefeld Mfg. Co. that the Board alter careful consideration cannot see their way clear to having a Gasoline Pump placed on Main St : as near the Bridge as it would be infront of their place of business , and suggested that they place it on 1st Street . - Mr. Peitz moved that the tool shed belonging to the Street Berrt . I/ on North 10th Street be rented to Z . Shook at the rate of( 6c00) Five Dollars per month, the building to be repaired at the rent- er' s expense . Seconded by Mr. Taylor motion prevailed . The Board instructed the Bldg. Inspector and the Cit:,T Enp.ineer to look after and place the building on Newman' s Hill in habitable shape , and report to the Board so that the building can be rent- ed at once .
