The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana , met
in regular session in the office of said Board Thursday, Sept.
23, 1920, at 9 A.M. All the members of the said .hoard being pre-
sent Messrs. Von Pein, Taylor, and Peitz , the following proceed-
ings were had to-wit: -

The Board approved the Contract & Bond signed by Null & Villiams
as principal, and the United States Fidelity & Guaranty Co. as.
Surety, in the matter of installing a gasoline , oil, and air dis-
pensory infront of their place of business #28 N. 7th St.
The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution 7 140-1920
to vacate the alley between vacated N. 14th St. & N. 15th St. in
rear of lots #534 and #555, ' Elizabeth Starr' s Add. (See Reso. )
The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution #141-1920
to vacate all that part of the alley riznni.ng north and south,
between N. 14th & 15th Sts. which lies between lots #541 to #544 •
inclusive on the west side, and lots #545 to #548 inclusive on
the east side, Elizabeth Starr' s Add. ( See Resolution) .
The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution ; 142-1920
to vacate the alley between N. 12th & 13th Sts. situated between
blocks T'C" & "D'T, Elizabeth Starr' s Add. ( See Resolution) . •

The Clerk reported the complaints from Council of Monday, Sept.
20th, and the 2card instructed the Clerk to noti fy the property
owners to have the weeds on their property cut at once, also Mr.
Chas. Jordan t,o have them cut from his lot on 23rd St . , and the
matter of the petitions for the extention of gas mains of the
Light ,. Heat & Power Co. the Board decided to investigate.
Mr. Peitz moved that the Democratic Committee be granted perruis--
. sion to palce a banner across South 8th St . at the H. of P. Tem-
ple. Seconded by Mr. Taylor motion prevailed.
i/ir. Miller,Fire Chief, called the Board' s attention to the block-
ing of traffic by the T. H. I . & E. Traction Co. at Ft . Wayne Ave .
• & North "D" St . The Board instructed Mr. Miller to take this mat-
ter up with the officials of the Street Car Co. and report back to
the Board.
The Board allowed the claim of Vim. A. Hunt , Sealer of ',eights &

Measures , of 4i14.82 for his expenses to Indianapolis and return
September 6th , 7th, &; 8th , 1920.
The Board then adjourned.

- The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana , met in
regular session in the office of sd. d Board Monday, September 27th,
1920, at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present,
Messrs. Von Fein, Taylor, and Pelts , the following proceedings were
had to-wit : -

The Board met to hear remonstrances if any of persons primarily
assessed on account of the Improvement of North 23rd Street from
North "E" St. to North "F." St. by grading and graveling the road- .
way and constructing cement curb & gutter under Improvement lieso.
572--1919 , no one appearing and no. remonstrance having been filed
- the Board approved the Final Assessment Roll confirming in all
• things the original assess_,lent roll as heretofore ap.r.roved, and
said assessment roll is farther ordered transmitted forthwith to
the Dept . of Finance.
- Mr. Peitz moved that the City Engineer be instructed to purchase
six more trash cans , and place them in convenient locations along
