HomeMy Public PortalAbout09-16-1920 1 2 Office of the Board of Public ',forks, • City of Richmond , Indiana , Thurs. Sept. 16 , 1920. The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond,. Indiana, met -in regular session in the office of said Board Thursday, Sept. 16, 1920, at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present Messrs. Von Pein, Taylor, and Pelts, the following pro- ceedings were had to-wit : - The Board approved and si ed the Contract & Bond of Burdsall & Gillett Co . , Contractors, to improve the Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant by tearing down certain walls, and the constructing . of certain new walls. The Board received a communication from the Rodefeld Mfg. Co. requesting that the Board reconsider their action in regard to the installation of a curb gasoline pump infront of #96 West Main St. The Board took the matter under advisement. The Clerk presented the Claim of Wm. A. Hunt ,. Market Laster, of N14.82 for railroad fare to Indianapolis and return, and expen- ses. The Board instructed the City Atty. to prepare an appro- priation ordinance to cover the above claim to present to the Common Council at their next meeting. The Board received from the Travelers Insurance Indemnity Co. a certificate indicating the maximum allowable pressure 'on boil- er in the City Bldg. at 15 lbs. • The Board received bids for the improvement of the alley bet . Lincoln & Pearl fits. from West 1st to West 3rd St . under impro- vement resoluti on #580--1920 as follows to-wit :- Daniel G. Burkhardt' s bid: Cement Roadway complete per sq.ft. 0.305 This being the only bid received and being within the Engineer' s estimate Mr. Pelts moved that the bid be accepted and contract so awarded. Seconded by Mr. Taylor motion prevailed. The Board received bids for the improvement of the alley bet. North "D" & "E" Ste. from North 22nd to North 23rd St . under Im- provement Resolution #581-1920 as follows to-wit : - Daniel G. Burkhardt' s bid : Cement roadway complete per sq.ft . 00.29• z� • This being the only bid received and being within. the Engineer' s estimate Mr. Pelts moved that the bid be accepted and the con- tract so awarded.
