• The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana , met
in regular session in the office of said Board. Thursday, Sept.
2nd, ' 1920 , at 9 .Li+ Two members of the said Board being prese
ent Messrs. Von Pein, and Feltz , absent Mr. Taylor, the follow--
ing proceedings were had to-wit : --
The •
Engineer reported the completion of the contract under Imp.
• Reso . #572-1919 for the improvement of _North 23rd St. from N.
"it;" to .N. "P" St . Mr. Peitz moved that it be accepted, and the
Clerk was ordered to prepare an assessment roll . Seconded by
Mr. Von Pein motion prevailed.
The Board met to receive bids for the re-flooring; of the Doran .
Bridge as follows to-wit : -•
Slattery & Larsen bid:
To take up the old floor and timbers and the re-laying of new
creosoted timbers and wood block floor on the Doran Bridge over
the White Water hives,
Bridge complete rJ 19 ,475.00

The Standard En,'-ineering Co. of Toledo, Ohio, bid:
To take up the old floor and timbers and the re-laying of new
creosoted timbers and wood block floor on the Doran Bridge over
the White Water River,
Bridge complete • 3 19 ,648.23
The Capitol Construction Co. bid:
To re-floor the Doran Bridge all according to plans & specifi-
cations,
Bridge floor complete $ 20,390.00
• Burdsall & Willett Co. bid:
To take up the old floor and timbers and the- re-laying of new
creosoted timbers and wood block floor on the Doran Bridge over
the White Water River, all-timbers figured on 12 lb . treatment,
all blocks figured on 14' lb . treatment,
Bridge complete w 28 ,967 .00
Mr. Peltz moved that the bids be taken under advisement until
Thursday, September 9th at 9 A.M. , and for the City Controller . •
'to prepare an ordinance asking Council for an appropriation ' of
Twenty Thousand ( 20,000.00) Dollars for the above mentioned
improvement . Motion prevailed.

Mr. Peltz moved that as Monday, September 6th will be Labor Day
that the Board adjourn until Thursday, September 9th, Motion •
prevailed.
The Board then adjourned.
