Mon. Aug. 23, 1920 .
The Board of Public Wroks of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
regular session in the office of said Board Monday, August 23rd,
1920 , at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present
- Messrs. Von Pein, Taylor, and Peitz , the following proceedings were
had to-wit : - -

-Mr. Howard Dill appeared before the Board in regard to the paint-
ing of the 'Fire Hydrants. It was decided to paint them yellow &
green, the bottoms green, and.\tops yellow.
Mr. Peltz moved that Mr. Taylor be instructed to buy the necessary
feed for. the Park Dept. Motion prevailed.
The Board instructed Mr. Miller, Fire Chief, to place a Fire Alarm
Box at or near the P.C.C. & St. M . R.R. Round House.
The Board instructed the Police Dept. to notify Garage Men to stop
the practice of repairing automobiles on the streets.
The Board instructed the City Atty. to notify the T. H. I. & E.
Traction Co. to make arrangements about elevating their car tracks
on the Doran Bridge to conform with the new level of the paving.
Mr. F. E. Slick, Garbage Contractor, appeared and informed the
Board that he collects the garbage over the City once-a-week. The
Board requested that it be collected twice-a--week.
The Board received the report of the Inspector for the Travelers
-Indemnity _Co. inregard to the condition of the boiler in the City
Bldg. , and Mr. Miller, Fire Chief, was instructed to have the re--
• commendations carried out.
The Board approved the Primary Assessment Roll in the matter of
Improvement Resolution #579-1920 for the construction of cement
curb & gutter on the north side of N. "D" Street from 11th to 12th.
The Board instructed Mr. Davis , City Engineer, to advertise in the
Engineering News Record Magazine in regard to the re-flooring of
the Doran Bridge .
Bills to the amount of $40094,38: were allowed and ordered paid.
The Board aprro ved the various Pay Rolls up to Aug. 21st, 1920.
• The Board then adjourned .
