A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING A THREE YEAR AGREEMENT WITH GOVERNMENT OUTREACH TO
PROVIDE A CITIZEN REQUEST TRACKING SOLUTION TO MANAGE CASES FOR
PUBLIC WORKS, CODE ENFORCEMENT, PARKING AND OTHER INTER-
DEPARTMENTAL REQUESTS
WHEREAS, on June 17, 2014, Council authorized the release of a Request for
Proposals (RFP) for a comprehensive software solution to track and manage internal
and citizen service requests that pertain to Public Works, Code Enforcement, Parking
Enforcement, and other departmental requests; and
WHEREAS, the City is currently using GovPartner, which is lacking in features
and does not have the ability to effectively manage cases from the field using mobile
devices; and
WHEREAS, an eight- member selection committee was formed to review
proposals, contact referrals, and view demonstrations; and
WHEREAS, the committee unanimously selected Government Outreach to help
the City to manage and track service request more effectively; and
WHEREAS, the goal of the solution is to allow the City to respond quickly,
succinctly and accurately to citizen and inter - departmental requests; and
WHEREAS, the committee strongly feels that Government Outreach will be able
to meet the needs of the City; and
WHEREAS, funding for this project will come from Public Works, Development
Services, Community Development, and Public Safety and additional appropriation is
needed to cover the cost of the software from various sources of funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood approves and
authorizes the Mayor or designee to execute agreement from Government Outreach for
a citizen request tracking solution to manage Public Works, Code Enforcement,
Parking, and other inter - departmental requests, subject to approval of the form of the
agreement by the City Attorney.
Section 2. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its
adoption.
