A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE USE OF THE COMMUNITY CENTER TO HOST TWO FREE INFO - SESSIONS
FOR HOMEOWNERS AND WAIVING THE RENTAL FEE, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$320.00
WHEREAS, a request was made by Grid Alternatives of Greater Los Angeles for
promotional support and public outreach of their Solar Affordable Housing Program; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of Grid Alternative's affordable housing program is to
assist homeowners with the reduction of their electricity bills by up to 80 percent; and
WHEREAS, Grid Alternatives is a non - profit organization that brings the benefits
of solar technology to communities.
. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council approves the two -time use of a City facility and the
waiver of rental fees in the amount of $160.00 for each use, for a total of $320.00.
Section 2., The City Council further finds that the Grid Alternatives of Greater
Los Angeles can provide a public benefit in the form of providing needed savings for
families through their solar panel installation programs to low- income homeowners.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 19th day of August, 2014.
