MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: Complete Board Present
President Pottorff called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with
the Pledge to the Flag. Roll call~was taken. All members of the
Board were present.
L. Robinson made a motion to approve minutes of the December bth
meetings as printed. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call:
Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye; Selfridge, aye.
Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to approve current bills for payment. Seconded
by J.. King. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye;
King, aye; Selfridge, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to approve payment of $1.00 to Thomas Mefferd
for lease of his 1973 Dodge Sportsman Van to the Village of Plainfield
Emergency Services and Disaster Agency for the period January 1, 1977
thru December 31, 1977. Seconded by G. Ansley. Motion declared
carried.
R. Selfridge made a motion to accept Plan Commission Report. Seconded by
G. Beahm. Motion declared carried.
R. Selfridge made a motion to accept recommendation of Plan Commission
to deny petition of Ralph Bada for rezoning .property at 112 Division
Street from B-1 to B-4. Seconded by G. Beahm, Vote by roll call:
Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye; Selfridge, aye.
Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 883, "An Ordinance Providing
for the Regulation and Operation of the Combined Waterworks and Sewerage
System of the Village of Plainfield, Will County, Illinois, and
Establishing Charges for Connection of the Water Mains and Sewer Mains of
Said System for those Sewer and Water Mains Built in 1976 to Serve the
Whispering Creek Subdivision and Other Property," Chapter 6, Article 3,
Sec. 3-9 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Plainfield. Seconded
by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley,
aye; King, aye; Selfridge, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared
carried.
It was agreed among Board members to request Electrical Commission
to hold an Organizational Meeting, Monday, January 10, 1976 at the
VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING JANUARY 3, 1977
Village Hall at 7:30 p.m.
Guy Beahm made a motion to pass Resolution #$82-R "A Resolution Relating
to Participation by Members of a Governing Body in the Illinois Municipal
Retirement Fund to Qualify for Prior Service Credits." Seconded by J.
King. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye;
King, aye; Selfridge, aye. Five ayes, na nays. Motion declared carried.
R. Selfridge made a motion to pass Resolution #883-R "A Resolution
Relating to Participation by Members of a Governing Body in the Illinois
Municipal Ret~.rement Fund". Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by tall call:
Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye; Selfridge, aye.
Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
Meeting adjourned to an Executive Session to discuss purchase of property
and personnel.
Meeting reconvened at 10:15 p.m.
Police Chief Fish presented a letter to the. Board regarding Dispatcher
Bonnie Henthorn's unauthorized long distance phone calls on Police
phones. Chief Fish recommended the Board dismiss her from the Police
Department and the CETA Program.
J. King made a motion Bonnie Henthorn be dismissed as an employee of
the Police Department and the CETA Program. Seconded by G. Beahm.
Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye;
Selfridge, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
On motion meeting adjourned at 10:20 p.m.
