J. King, Trustees were present. Trustee
G. Beahm was absent.
President Pottorff called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. with the
Pledge to the Flag. Roll call was taken. Trustee G. Beahm was absent.
The Treasurer's Report was submitted.
J. King made a motion to not participate in funding a full. time Director
of Civil Defense and to continue with the present setup. Seconded by
R. Selfridge. Vote by roll Call: Robinson, nay, Ansley, nay, King, aye;
Selfridge, aye; Pottorff, aye. Three. ayes, ...two nays.~__~[otion declared carried.
R. Selfridge made a motion to hire a teacher's aide to be paid $2.75 per
day as a crossing guard at Central School Crossing (Lockport Street and
Bartlett Avenue) upon advice of 1ega1 counsel. Seconded by J. King.
Vote by tall call: Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye; Selfridge, aye.
Four ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to have back sidewalks put in now at the new Municipal
Building. and front Sidewalks and curbs poured in the Spring. Seconded by
L. Robinson. Vote by roll ca11: Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye;
Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
The following bid was read by the Clerk for casework and countertops at
the new Municipal Building:
Ideal Millwork Company, Plainfield $1,770.00
L. Robinson made a motion to accept the bid of Ideal Millwork for $1,770.00.
Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King,
aye; Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
R. Selfridge made a motion to pay Grafic Designs, Inc. $43,354.35 (pay out
No. 5). Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye; Ansley,
aye; King, aye; Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to accept Plan Commission Report. Seconded by
J. King. Motion carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to concur with Plan Commission recommendation to
deny petition of Barbara Birthisel, 300 Division Street requesting rezoning

from Res. A to B-1 for office building. Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by
roll call: Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye; Selfridge, aye. Four
ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
R. Selfridge made a motion to authorize Village Engineer draw up an
Agreement between Village and The Fleischmann Distilling Corporation
regarding proof of wastewaters into the Village sewer Tine. Seconded
by J. King. Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye;
Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to approve the appointment of Albert Longnecker,
Glenn Kinley, Albert Easton, Jeffery Dement, Laverne Eichelberger, and
Bernard Rife to the Electrical Commission. Seconded by R. Selfridge.
Vate by roll call: Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye; Selfridge, aye.
Four ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
On motion meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m. to an Executive Session to
discuss personnel.
