Regular Meeting
DATE: October 4, 1976
AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: C. Pottorff, President, G. Beahm, L. Robinson,
G. Ansley, J. King, Trustees were present.
Trustee, R. Selfridge was absent.
President Pottorff called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. with the
Pledge to the Flag. Roll call was taken. Trustee R. Selfridge was absent.
G. Beahm made a motion to approve minutes of September 13th, 20th, and 27th
meetings as printed. Seconded by L. Robinson. Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to ,approve current invoices for payment. Seconded
by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye;
King, aye. Four ayes, no nays. 'Motion declared carried.
Approval was given to Trustee G. Beahm to go ahead with paving of Van Dyke
Road north of the EJ&E Ry. tracks at a cost of $1,000.00.
G. Ansley made a motion to purchase Post Office Permit fbr the Police Dept.
business reply mail at a cost of $10.00 for the remainder of the year and
$30.00 for the year 1977. Seconded by L. Robinson.
G. Ansley made a motion to :authorize Village Engineer grant quotation
from National Power Rodding Corp. for TV Inspection - Sanitary.".S.ewer Whispering
Greek-Sub... at $2,5b5.00 and Special Assessment $3,411.00. Seconded by
G. Beahm. Vote by roll call. Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye;
King, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
The Board agreed to hold a special meeting Thursday, October 7, 1976 at
the Village Hall at 7:30 p.m. for Board of Local Improvements for 'pertinent
business and the Village Board for decisions on new Municipal Building.
G. Beahm. made a motion to annex a strip of Bryant property to Village.
Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye;
Ansley, aye; King, aye; Four ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
G. Beahm made a motion to increase Class A Liquor licenses by one and
decrease Class B by one effective July 1, 1977. Seconded by J. King.
Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, nay; Ansley, aye; King, aye.
Three ayes, one nay. Motion declared carried.

G. Beahm made a motion to amend motion on increasing Class A Liquor License
by one and decrease Class B by ane to be effective November 1, 1977. Seconded
by J. King. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, nay; Ansley, aye;
King aye. Three ayes, one nay.. Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to pass Resolution No. 77.1 entitled, "A Resolution
Appointing The Village Clerk As Authorized Agent Of The Village For The
Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund". Seconded by J. King. Motion declared
carried.
Permission was granted to the Plainfield Women's Civic Organization for
a Christmas Parade. December 4, 1976 at 11:00 a.m.
On motion meeting adjourned 91.35 p.m.
