Regular Meeting
DATE: August 2, 1976
AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: C. Pottorff, President, G. Beahm, L. Robinson,
J. King, Trustees were present. Trustees R.
Selfridge and G. Ansley were absent.
President Pottorff called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the Pledge
to the Flag. Roll call was taken. Trustees, G. Ansley and R. Selfridge
were absent.
G. Beahm made a motion to approve minutes of the July 12, July 19 and July.
26th meetings as printed. Seconded by L. Robinson, Motion carried.
G. Beahm made a motion to approve payment of current invoices for payment.
Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; King,
aye; Pottorff, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
The Clerk read the fallowing bids for the 1970 Plymouth Squad car;
James Chobar, Plainfield, Ill. $275.00
George Schroeder, Sr., Plainfield,Ill. $175.00
L. Robinson made a motion to pass an Ordinance for the sale of the squad car
and award the bid to James Chobar, the highest bidder. Seconded by J. King.
,Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; King, aye; Pottorff, aye.
Four ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
G. Beahm made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 869, "Creation of Electrical
Commission", Chapter 7, Article 5, Sec. 5-2-4 of the Code of Ordinances of
the Village of Plainfield. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call:
Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; King, aye; Pottorff, aye. Four ayes, na nays.
Motion carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 870, "An Ordinance Establishing
Two Hour Time Limit Far Forking of Vehicles," Chapter 9, Article 9, Section
9-1-14d of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Plainfield. Seconded by
G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; King, aye; Pottorff,
aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
J. King made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 871, "An Ordinance For The Levying
And Assessing Of Taxes For The Current Fiscal Year Of The Village Of Plainfield,
Will County, Illinois, Beginning July 1, 1976," Chapter 11, Article 3, Section
3-18 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Plainfield. Seconded by
G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; King, aye;

G. Beahm, made a motion to hire three employees (Bonnie Henthorn, Rosemary
Rolando and Walter Carlton) under the provisions of the Will-Grundy
Consortium CETA Services. Seconded by J. King. Vote by ro11 call: Beahm,
aye; Robinson, aye; King, aye; Pottorff, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion
carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to pass Ordinance No. $72, '':An.Ordixian.ce~Correcting
Typographical Error In Ordinance No. 857", (from 6%.to 7%), Chapter £, Article
2, Section 2-1SA of :the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Plainfield.
Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll ca11: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; King, aye;
Pottorff, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 873, "An Ordinance Correcting
Typographical Error In Ordinance No. 859", (from 6% to 7%) Chapter 6, Article
2, Section 2-19A of the Code of Ordinances of the village of Plainfield.
Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; King, aye;
Pottorff, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
G. Beahm made a motion to adjourn the meeting to August 5th at 6:00 p.m.
Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; King,
aye; Pottorff, aye. Pour ayes, nv nays. Motion carried.
Meeting also adjourned to an Executive Session to discuss personnel and
purchase of property.
