Regular Meeting

MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: Complete Board Present
President Pottorff called the meeting to order at 7:45 p.m. Roll call
was taken. Complete Board was present.
Minutes of the June 7, June 14, June 29th .meetings were approved as

G. Ansley made a motion to approve payment of current invoices as
presented. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye;
Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye; Selfridge, aye. Five ayes, no
nays. Motion carried.
R. Selfridge made a motion to go ahead and patch Bartlett Avenue for $490.00
and Commercial Street for $700.00. Plainfield Blacktop is to da the work.
Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye;
Ansley, aye; King, aye; Selfridge, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
At $:00 p.m. the fallowing bids were opened far Storm Sewer - Hazelcrest Drive:

G. Ansley made a motion to accept the law bid .of Bada Constructian Company
for $14,621.50, waive the qualification of a Certified Check and accept
a personal check, to have the Clerk retain the two low bid checks and return
the remainder. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye;
Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye; Selfridge, aye. Five ayes, no nays.

R. Selfridge made a motion to not adopt 19.75.".National Edectrical Code
relative to allowing conduit in plenum.ceil~.ngs and .to support the
recommendation of Architect, Dave Lindquist. Seconded by G. Ansley.
Motion carried.
Action on the Housing Code was tabled until the next Board. meeting.
L. Robinson made a motion to authorize donating $750.00 toward the
mosquito abatement program. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vate by roll call:
Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye;, Selfridge, aye.
Five ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 866, Chapter 6, Article 3,
Section 3-8 of the Code of Ordinances, "An Ordinance Authorizing An
Agreement Providing for Chores of Sewer Services to Kerr Glass
Manufacturing Corporation". Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call:
Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye; Selfridge, aye. Five
ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to grant a salary increase of 5% to Water &
Sewer Department and Police Department with base pay of Water & Sewer
Department to be brought up to Police Department level. Seconded by
.James King.. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye;
King, aye; Selfridge, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
R. Selfridge made a motion to pass Resolution No. 765, a Resolution
relative to school contribution, Millrace Village Subdivision. Seconded
by G. Ansley. .Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye;
King, aye; Selfridge, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
R. Selfridge made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 867, Chapter 11, Article
3, Section 3-17 of the Code of Ordinances. "An Ordinance making
Appropriations for the Village of Plainfield for the Fiscal Year Beginning
July 1, 1976." Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by rgll call: Beahm, aye;
Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye; Selfridge, aye. Five ayes, no nays.
Motion carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to have the Appropriation Ordinance printed in
phamplet form. Seconded by L. Robinson. Motion carried.
