ELAINFIELD VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING
Rescheduled Meeting
DATE: June 29, 1976 AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: Trustees, G. Beahm, L. Robinson, G. Ansley,
R. Selfridge. President Pottorff was absent.
In the absence of President Pottorff, Trustee R. Selfridge was
appointed President Pra-tem. President Pro-tem Selfridge opened the
meeting at 7:30 p.m. with the Pledge to the Flag. Roll call was taken.
The Village Clerk administered the Oath of Office to James King,
appointed Trustee to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of L.
Taylor.
The Treasurer's Report was submitted.
A proposal from the Concerned Citizens relative to parking in and
around zartic Frozen Meats, Inc. was submitted. An opinion from the
Village Attorney was read. Considerable discussion resulted. Action
on the matter was tabled until the next regular Board meeting, July 12,
1.976.
Action on the Housing Code was tabled until the next regular Board
meeting.
Wage increases for the Police and Water & Sewer Departments were
discussed. The Clerk was instructed to obtain information on the
Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund.
G. Ansley made a motion to reappoint Claude Jennings as Village
Treasurer. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye;
Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye. four ayes, no .,nays. Motion
carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to authorize G. Beahm ta.sign Village checks
in the absence of the President. Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by roll
call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; King, aye. Eat~r~~.ages ,
no nays. Mation carried.
Meeting adjourned at 10:30 p.m.
