Pottorff, President, Trustees G. Beahm, L. Robinson, G. Ansley, R. Selfridge were present. Trustee, S. Judy was absent. President Pottorff called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the Pledge to the Flag. Roll call was taken. Trustee, S. Judy was absent. Minutes of the May 3rd and May 17th meetings were approved as printed. G. Beahm made a motion to approve payment of the current invoices as presented. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, na nays. Motion carried. Considerable discussion resulted as residents in the area of Zartic Frozen Meats, Inc. complained about trucks parking in front of driveways and noise pollution. The Board agreed to have a special meeting Monday, June 14 at the Village Hall at 7:30 p.m. with a representative from Zartic .present to solve the problem. At 8:00 p:.~.~bids on .the .following were opened: Purchase of 1968 Chevrolet Truck for Emergency Service and Disaster Agency- Speicher and Gaylord, Plainfield $1,400.00 with trade of 1966 Chevrolet L. Robinson made a motion to accept the only bid of $1,40.00. Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion carried. Gas, oil, repairs:and emergency service for all Village Vehicles - Allen Hall - Regular 4$.4, Premium, 52.4, Lead Free gas 50.4 Discount: 5.5 per gal of gas and 10.0 per qt. of oil, 24 hr. towing & road service Chobar's Standard - Regular 46.4 Premium, 51.l,Lead Free gas 50.2 Discount: 4.0 per gal of gas and 10.0 per qt of oil, 24 hr. towing service. G. Ansley made a motion to accept the low bid of Chobar's Standard. Seconded by R. Selfridge. Ansley made a motion to approve termination of Treasurer's Bond No. 3858827 with The Hartford Insurance Group effective July 1, 1976. 5ecanded by G. Beahm. Motion carried. Read-Scott-Baldwin, Inc. has insured us with Ohio Casualty insurance No.1653764-6 for the Treasurer's Bond effective July 1, 1976. The Clerk read a letter of resignation from Trustee Steve Judy. R. Selfridge made a motion to accept the resignation. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; .Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion carried. G. Beahm made a motion to allow the Plainfield Emergency Services and Disaster Agency use of the parking lot at the rear of the Village Hall far use of Village and Bicentennial dignitaries July 4th and 5th. Seconded by L. Robinson. Motion carried. It was announced a dinner in honor of retiring Police Officer Taylor will be held July 6 at the Clock Tower Restaurant. Those planning to attend are to notify the Village Clerk. At the request of the Police_Dega~Lme~t.-install~tiv.n~df._.a.street:!.light was approved at Dillman and Corbin Streets. G. Ansley made a motion to pass a Resolution far $20,000.00 in Motor Fuel Tax for resurfacing of Ottawa Street from James Street to Division Street. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion carried. Of two samples of roofing for new Village Hall, the Board agreed to choose the lighter color of roof. G. Ansley made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 865, "An Ordinance Allowing Certain Leasing Arrangements of Property for the Funding of the Construction of the New Village Hall", Chapter 1, Article 5, Section 5-1 of the Code of Ordinances. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by tall call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion carried. The Housing Code was presented in Ordinance form and tabled until members of the Board have had a chance to read it before the next regular meeting. R. Selfridge made a motion to appoint James King as Village Trustee to fill the remainder of LeRoy Taylor's term of office. Seconded by G. Ansley. The Board agreed to take under advisement decision relative to filling the vacancy of Steve Judy by appointment or election.
