Pottorff, President, Trustees, G. Beahm, L. Robinson, G. Ansley, R. Selfridge were present. Trustee, 5. Judy was absent. President Pottorff called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the Pledge to the Flag. Rall call was taken. Trustee, S. Judy was absent. The Treasurer's Report was submitted. G. Beahm made a motion to authorize Civil Defense to advertise for a 1968 Chevrolet 1~ ton pick-up truck with present 3/4 ton truck as trade. Seconded by R. Selfridge. Motion carried. R. Selfridge made a motion to authorize Village Engineer to work with Buddig and Company to satisfy EPA requirements on water and sewer. Buddig and Company to be billed accordingly. Seconded by G. Beahm. Motion carried. G. Ansley made a motion to advertise for bids far gas and oil, minor repairs and emergency service for Village Vehicles. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley,. aye; Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion carried. R. Selfridge made a motion .to authorize the Plan Commission Chairman to request the presence of the Village Attorney and Village Engineer at Plan Commission meetings or seek their advice when necessary. Seconded b G. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; Selfridge, Ansley. aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion carried. R. Selfridge made a motion to authorize the Plan Commission Chairman to attend a Planning Seminar, Champaign, Illinois, June 17-19, 1976. Seconded by G. Beahm. Motion carried. The Plan Commissian Report was submitted. L. Robinson made a motion to concur with the recommendation of the Plan Commission to deny the petition of Ray and Mary Biernat, 602.&.604 Vista Lane, from Res. B to A-1 zoning. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, na nays. Motion carried. -2- PLAINFIELD VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING May .1:7, 1976 L. Robinson made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 860, "An Ordinance Authorizing the Execution of a Pre-Annexation. Agreement with Ash Manufacturing Company, Inc.", Chapter 7, Article 8, Section 8-54 of the Code of Ordinances. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion carried, G. Beahm made a motion to pass Ordinance No. $61, "An Ordinance Annexing the Ash Manufacturing Company, Inc." Chapter 7, Article 8, Section 8-55 of the Code of Ordinances. Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by roll call: Beahm,. aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion carried. R, Selfridge made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 862, "Rezoning of Ash Manufacturing Company, Tnc." Chapter 8, Article 7, Section 7--41 of the Code of Ordinances. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson,. aye; Ansley, aye; Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion carried. G. Ansley made a motion to pass Ordinance No. $63, "An Ordinance Amending Chapter 7, Section 11-2.I of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Plainfield (Ordinance No. 778)". Seconded by R. Selfridge. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion carried. G. Ansley made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 864, "Sale of 197:0 Plymouth Police Car", Chapter 1, Article 4, Section 4-4 of the Code of Ordinances. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; Selfridge, aye; Pottorff, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion carried. Carl Klindworth reported on review of committee to determine whether residents in the area north of the Village are interested in annexation, water and sewer. Annexation, water and sewer were not favorably received. Judi Hennard, Chairman, Annexation Committee submitted a report to the...: Boa~~".or~cls~tidlf~.of-tt~e Committee. Jim .Johnson was present and requested a variance on sign size to erect a 4.' x 6' sign on James. Street for business purposes. G. Ansley made a mation to grant the variance. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion carried. On motion meeting adjourned at 9:05 p.m. to an Executive Session to discuss personnel.
