Regular Meeting
DATE: May 3, 1976 QT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: Complete Board present
President Pottorff called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Roll call
was taken. All members of the Board were present.
Minutes of the meetings April 5, 7, 19 and 26; 1976 were approved as
printed.
S. Judy made a motion to approve payment of the current invoices as
presented. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Beahm; aye;
Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; Judy, aye; Selfridge, aye. Five ayes,
no nays. Motion carried.
After discussion relative to parking lot conditions at the rear
of the Village Ha11, the Board agreed to have Police limit parking
to two hours with exception of V311age Hall employees. An access
lane is to be provided along the side of the Civil Defense Building

providing no agreements be entered into that require Village to
retain persons hired with grant funds after funding terminates.

Ansley,. aye; Judy, aye; Selfridge, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion
carried.
S. Judy made a motion to authorize Police Chief and Attorney to start
proceedings for condemnation of remains of Norris home fire in Marybrook
Subdivision. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by ro11 call: Beahm, aye;
Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; Judy, aye; Selfridge, aye. Five ayes, no
nays. Motion carried.
The following and only bid was read for Spring Clean-up May 21 and 22,
1976:
A -Way Disposal Service
3214 Saddle Drive, Joliet $2,300.00
R. Selfridge made a motion to accept the bid of A-Way Disposal at
$2,300.00 for Spring Clean-up. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call;
Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; Judy, aye; Selfridge, aye.
Five ayes, no nays. Motion carried.

R. Selfridge made a motion to give approval in concept for second
payout to the general contractor (Graphic Designs, Inc.) for the
new Village Hall of approximately $26,000.00 with application and
certificate of payment to be submitted subsequently exact payment
sum. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson,
aye; Ansley, aye; Judy, .aye; Selfridge, aye. Five ayes, no nays.
Motion carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to authorize the Village to enter into an
Agreement to purchase supplies thru ,faint purchasing with the
State of Illinois' Department of General Services Procurement Division.
Seconded by S. Judy. Vote by roll ca11: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye;
Ansley, aye; Judy, aye; Selfridge, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion
carried.
The Board authorized the Clerk to purchase one publication for
Planning Officials at $4.00.
G. Beahm made a motion to delete the name of LeRoy Taylor from the
placque for the new Village Hall. Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by roll
call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; Judy, nay; Selfridge, (pass)
nay.- Three ayes, two nays. Motion carried.
R. Selfridge made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 859, Whispering Creek ~---»~~"'~
Special Assessment No. 2, Chapter 6, Article 2 Sec. 2-19 of the Code
of Ordinances.. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by ro11 call: Beahm, aye;
Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; Judy, aye; Selfridge, aye. Five ayes, no ~
nays. Motion carried.
