PLAINFIELD VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING
Special Meeting
DATE: April 26 1976 AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: C. Pottorff, President, Trustees, G. Beahm,
L. Robinson, G. Ansley, R. Selfridge were
present. Trustee, S. Judy was absent.
President Potatrff called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. Roll call
was taken. S. Judy, Trustee, was absent.
Discusion was held relative to the dedication plaque. It was agreed
among Board members present to delete the names of the Attorney and
Superintendent from the plaque.
Sketches of the meeting room and administration area were studied.
Tt was agreed the Board preferred the seating arrangement for the
meeting room that utilized the most space. It was also agreed
provision should be made for a speaker podium to the side. The
administration area was left to the discretion of the Clerk.
Discussion of detention cells resulted in using material fram present
cells and installing same in basement area.
In other business, R. Selfridge made a motion to authorize Village ,,~•~""
Engineer to go ahead and stake out water main to Whispering Creek
and also sewer when permits are avilable. Seconded by G. Ansley.
Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; Selfridge,
aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
R. Selfridge made a motion to have Clerk send a letter to Illinois
Senators Percy and Stevenson regarding House Bill HR10210 (Federal
Unemployment Compensation) indicating Board members desire to get
the legislation amended in the Senate to maintain the current
exclusion far local government employers. Seconded by G. Beahm.
Motion carried.
