,PLATNFIELD VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING
Regular Meeting
DATE: February 2, 1976 AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: Complete Board Present
President Pottorff called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the
Pledge to the Flag. Roll call .was taken. All members of the Board were
present.
G. Ansley made a motion to approve the minutes of the January meetings as
printed. Seconded by L. Robinson. Motion carried.
R. Selfridge made a motion to approve payment of the current invoices as
presented. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson,
aye; Ansley, aye; Judy, aye; Selfridge, aye. Tour ayes, no nays. Motion
carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to have the Mayor and Clerk sign Certification
of Civil Defense and send for application for Federal funding. Seconded
by G. Beahm. Motion carried.
S.,Judjr made. a motion to pass Ordinance No. 825, "An Ordinance Amending
Chapter 10, Article 8, Section 8-5 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village
of Plainfield (Reducing the Minimum Age of Policeman to Twenty-One (21)
Years." Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; Robinson,
aye; Ansley, aye; Judy, aye; Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion
carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 826, "An Ordinance Relating
to Emercency Services and Disaster Agency (Amending Chapter 10, Article 11,
Section 11-1 et seq)". Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Beahm,
aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; Judy, aye; Selfridge, aye. Faur ayes,
no nays. Motion carried.
President Pottorff reappointed David Manley as a full time officer on the
Plainfield Police Department.
G Beahm made a motion to accept the recommendation of the Plan Commission
to rezone the property of Mae Rose Drauden, 209 Lockport Street, from
Residence A -to A-1. Seconded by S. Judy. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye;
Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; Judy, aye; Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, no nays.
Motion carried.
R. Selfridge made a motion to accept the recommendation of the Plan
Commission to rezone the property of Ray Powers, 607 Main Street from

Residence A to A-2. Seconded by L, Robinson. Vote by roll call:
Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; Judy, aye; Selfridge, aye.
Four ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
No action was taken by the Board concerning Rusty Runner Snowmobile
request or the petitions submitted.
R. Selfridge made a motion to grant the request of Donald Rife for
a taxicab license. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll ca11:
Beahm, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; Judy, aye; Selfridge, aye.
Four ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
