Regular Meeting
DATE: January 19, 1976
AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: G. Ansley, G. Beahm, L. Robinson, S. Judy, Trustees
were present. President Pottorff and Trustee
R. Selfridge were absent.
President Pro-tem G. Ansley called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the
Pledge to the Flag. Roll call was taken. President Pottorff and Trustee
R. Selfridge were absent.
S. Judy made a motion to appoint C. Jennings Clerk Pro-tem in absence of the
Village Clerk. Seconded by G. Beahm. Mahon carried.
S. Judy made a motion to accept the resignation of Officer Robert Taylor from
the Plainfield Police Force effective July 1, 1976. Seconded by L. Robinson.
Vote by roll call. G. Beahm, aye; L. Robinson, aye; S. Judy, aye; G. Ansley,
aye, Four ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
S. Judy made a motion to hire David Manley as a full time officer on the Plainfield
Police Department effective January 26, 1975. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by
roll call. G. Beahm, aye; L. Robinson, aye; S. Judy, aye; G. Ansley, aye.
Four ayes, na nays. Motion carried.
G. Beahm made a motion to have Steve Judy as co-signer on Village checks in the
absence of the Mayor. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call. G. Beahm,
aye; L. Robinson, aye; S. Judy, aye; G. Ansley, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion
carried.
S. Judy made a motion to accept bid of Rod Baker Ford for the police squad car
of $4,532.84 on the recommondation of Sargent Lantz. Vote by roll call. G. Beahm,
aye; L. Robinson, aye; S. Judy, aye; G. Ansley, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion
carried. Seconded by G. Beahm..
S. Judy made a motion to purchase G.E. Radio for police department squad car for
the sum of $915.00 installed. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call.

nays. Motion carried.
G. Beahm made a motion to table the Snowmobile Petition until a full board is
present. A petition was presented in opposition to allow snowmobiles the use of
Village streets and roads. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call. G. Beahm,
aye; L. Robinson, aye; S. Judy, aye; G. Ansley, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion
carried.
S. Judy made a motion for the Village of Plainfield not to participate in the
Town Meeting 76. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call. G. Beahm, aye;
L. Robinson, aye; S. Judy, aye; G. Ansley, aye. Four ayes, na nays. Motion carried.

S. Judy made a motion for the Plan Reorganization Commission Ordinance
to be forwarded to attorney for codification. Seconded by G. Beahm.
Vote by roll call. G. Beahm, aye; L. Robinson, aye; S. Judy, aye;
G. Ansley, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
G. Beahm made a motion to send study of sewage by C.P. Inorganics to the
Village Engineer for approval. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll
call. G. Beahm, aye; L. Robinson, aye; S. Judy, aye; G. Ansley, aye.
Four ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
