LAINFIELD VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING
Regular Meeting
DATE: September 16, 1974 At: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: Complete Board present
President Pottorff called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the
Pledge to the Flag. Roll call was taken. All members of the Board
were present.
L. Taylor made a motion to approve the Insurance Proposal as presented
by Read-Scott-Baldwin, Inc.. Seconded by W. Rahn. All ayes, no nays.
Motion carried.
It was agreed among. the Board members to handle legal aspects of Village
business on the first meeting of the month between 8:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Engineering aspects will be handled on the second meeting of the month
with the Village Engineer subject to call on the first meeting if necessary.
H. Gehrke made a motion to approve a pay raise of 8~% for Police Department
retroactive to July 1, 1974. Seconded by L. Taylor. All ayes, no nays.
Motion carried.
L. Taylor made a motion to approve a pay raise of 7~% for Water & Sewer
Department employees and 8~% pay raise for Superintendent retroactive to
July 1, 1974. Seconded by G. Ansley. All. ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
H. Gehrke made a motion Police crossing guards and office help be granted
'.-'~ a 7~Z% pay raise retroactive to July 1, 1974. Seconded by G. Ansley. All ayes,
no nays. Motion carried.
On motion meeting adjourned to an Executive Session to discuss legal
proceedings.
