HomeMy Public PortalAbout09.09.74 VB Special Mtg Minutes FLAINFIELD VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING Regular Meeting DATE: September 9, 1974 AT: Village Hall MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: Complete Board Present President Pottorff called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the Pledge to the Flag. Roll call was taken. All members of the Board were present. On motion by W. Rahn minutes of the previous meetings were approved as printed. Seconded by L. Taylar, Motion carried. R. Selfridge made a motian to gay the current invoices. Seconded by W. Rahn. All ayes, no nays. Motion carried. The Plainfield Plan Commission report was read. On motion by H. Gehrke, seconded by L. Taylor the Plan Commission report was accepted. Motion carried. L. Taylor made a motion to accept the recommendation of the Plan Gommission to allow reclassification of zoning from Residence A to A-2 far James Monday property at 27 Chicago Strut. Seconded by G. Ansley. All ayes, no nays. Motion carried. An Insurance Proposal was presented by George Baldwin of Read-Scott-Baldwin, Tnc. Action on the insurance program was tabled until next Board meeting. W. Rahn made a motion to approve additional change in plans far George D. Hardin, Inc., contractors for storm sewers on Center Street and Eastern Avenue, Seconded by L. Taylor. All ayes, na nays. Motion carried. L. Taylor made a motion the Village Engineer authorize Joliet Blacktop Paving do the approaches for the railroad tracks on Eastern Avenue. Seconded by G. Ansley. All ayes, no nays. motion carried. R. Selfridge made a motion to pass Ordinance No.786, an. Ordinance amending Chapter 5, Article T, Section 1-3 of the Cade of Ordinances. Seconded by W. Rahn. All ayes, no nays. Motion carried. L. Taylor made a motion to pass Ordinance Na.7$7, Annexation of Land. Seconded by G. Ansley. All ayes, no nays. Motion carried. - 2 - C7 VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING September 9, 1974 W. Rahn made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 788, an Ordinance Amending Chapter 8, Article $, Section $--3 of the Code of Ordinances. Seconded by L. Taylor. Vote by roll call: Rahn, aye; Gehrke, aye; Ansley, nay; L. Taylor, aye; G. Taylor, aye; Selfridge, aye. Five ayes, one nay. Motion carried. On motion meeting adjourned.
